Yes I get that- and personally I think the Coronavirus vaccine is a no brainer, because without it the infection will never be controlled, I would think it would have to be compulsory.

But he is right though, there will be a lot of people that don't want it.

Just for the record for when people assume its me leading the anti-vaccination groups, I can state that at this point I would not refuse it :)

... but I do love a good conspiracy theory...

If people refused an approved vaccine then there needs to be isolation units where they then need to be housed until the virus is cleared - however long that takes

This won’t be rigorously tested though will it ? It’s gonna be rushed through without the years of testing ? I’m asthmatic so tbh I would be looking to take it my worry is where is the years of proven testing to say it’s safe, child vaccinations I’m 35 we had 12 compounds I believe it was back then now it’s 35-40 I think we are putting in.Wheh you get a moment google the ingredients in today’s child vaccines interesting read,

If it's going to be provided to most of the global population then you can be sure it'll have gone through all stages of clinical testing. Advances in science mean we can get candidates sooner but the testing phases still take time.

Won’t happen mate our government is weak as piss

You think any country in the west other than a trump led one would invoke such restrictions

For the scientists amongst us- the test kits that are being talked about on the BBC, does it feel credible to have that rolled out so quickly?

Seems very fast.

Surely once they have enough info they just take an existing test and modify it? The one I saw you have to send it away for results anyway

The type of test it involves is a standard one. The problem I foresee is people being asked to prick themselves and administer the sample though without seeing the kit I can't pass judgement.

The benefit of this is massively psychological as well though.

The most frightening thing about this virus is its unpredictability, you might be feeling really well now but find yourself on a ventilator by this time tomorrow, its that lack of any certainty which is scary. I reckon this test might give an immediate shot in the arm to millions because at last they can see that they can do something and haven't got to just sit around wondering whether they'll be in intensive care in 12 hours.

But then on the other hand the potential problem could be that people get a false sense of security and start taking silly risks again. As always, a bit of bloody common sense will be needed.

It will also send the death rate down massively.

The test is about 70% accurate, so it might be worth having a couple if you at first test negative to be sure.
This is what happened with Bolsinaro [Brazilian leader], he tested positive [which he didn't like], so he got a retest and was negative.

I find it totally amazing, how every fucker and his dog, who as little as 1 month ago, were so convinced that Boris and Trump were absolutely full of shit, were untrustworthy, bullshitting scumbags etc, but now, would all of a sudden fall over themselves to get injected with some random cocktail of god knows what, at the leaders insistence, with next to zero clinical trials.

Do the trials, get the vaccine checked out, Ffs.
Remember thalidomide! Have we learnt nothing?

maybe a dumb question, but...

If you test positive but don't have symptoms, what happens then, does it just leave your system over time, or are you a carrier... forever or until vaccinated?

7 compounds I had when I was born there is 72 now in new born babies

Yes it will. There are tight regulations governing the release of drugs, it isn't just. OK, it's a cure is it? Away you go...

The drugs they are testing now are already in use for other things - malaria and so on
Some have been in use for decades so have been through all the tests
Completely new drugs will take 12/18 months

New test could be on Amazon and in boots in a matter of days, good news
Is that the best distribution method? Or is it a case of if you can afford one you're ok but if you're skint tough?

Who keeps track of who has had a test if its order it yourself off Amazon. If you're allowing people out of lockdown are you just taking their word for it?

Could do a weekly lottery style system, if your numbers come up you get to be tested for a lethal disease

Wow! New York has had 5,000 new cases in the last 24 hours.

That sounds totally out of control.

the lad had been waving the blade around for weeks. Pulled it on a lad I used to train with at the bulls head but he walked away.
Can't remember the name of the lad who did it now but he was a mate of a mate. Had turned in to a proper menace and the script played out how it was written.

Noel was in the year below me at school, knew him but not very well. A good few of my mates knew him pretty well.
Whereabouts you from Clint? He grew up with some of the lads I knocked about with after school.
