Because believe it or not the United States of Europe crap that has been pushed has been exactly that. Each country is actually sovereign, despite what those with an agenda try and claim.

I was too bored with it all to even point that out that earlier, ie the very argument argument that brexit people most used- that the EU is some kind of tyrannical force- has been completely exposed. It gets lost in the noise which is understandable I guess.

Bablake definitely the most superior.... and nothing to do with what school i went to honest...

Where the hell is this thread going to take us next!

Is there a record for longest ever? This must have surpassed even the Chaplin thread by now!

There used to be quite a rivalry when I was at KH8, a few of the 'rugger buggers' would posture and make bold claims about being the 'hardest' while out at the pub on a Friday (the 'old Wheats' was it?), then a bunch of Wiseman or Tile Hill Wood would show up and the rugby guys would go real quiet, real fast.

If the numbers were that off every country wouldn’t be tracking the same. The numbers are fine

not if you want to make cross country comparisons then they clearly are not

Not convinced. Wages much lower in the lower leagues. Possibly in the championship.

Pay cuts I mean.

Yeah exactly.

Somebody on the bench at a lower end league 2 club won't be on much more than the average wage. Can't really demand the same as Man City players on £400k.

Maybe they went quiet because they were wanking on biscuits to feed each other?

was more referring to the bit about resuming the league and playing all the games.

I think both liked to pretend there was a rivalry and make the most of it... Old Wheats in town was it! Beleive it closed down a few years ago after a bit of trouble and maybe some licencing issue... Never did like Rugby!

Lol as I’ve said yes Eu pandemic group was canned as every country was thinking of itself. It’s you that blathers on about EU unity and conference calls and collective assistance

EFL statement: Coronavirus update

Just says when it's safe again really.

but this is what the EPL said:

The organisers said enabling all remaining domestic league and cup matches to be played is a priority to "maintain the integrity of each competition" but any return to play will be done "only be with the full support of government and when medical guidance allows".

That's why I'm thinking the EFL will follow suit, although not guaranteed until they actually announce it.

That’s reassuring

The latest debt of Italy is now 137% of last years GDP - the expected economic catastrophe will likely make it close to 200% - almost African levels of debt. It’s reassuring to know Brussels will relax it’s fiscal control on individual countries response to the ensuing crises that many are heading for which will make Greece a walk in the park

Can you show me a link to where the Brussels fiscal controls are being relaxed please?

No, they clearly are as the countries are comparable. If they’re wrong they’re all equally wrong so it doesn’t matter.

Clearly when you have a dataset as big as this you can use trends to very good effect. Individual differences would only render comparison meaningless if the sample size was much smaller.

Hahaha embarrassing, so you also believe that the UK government was wrong when it claimed that it was a sovereign country while in the EU, despite what people like you claimed.

And yes I’m sure that they’re really going to publish a running commentary of discussions going on behind closed doors. I fully expect something big will happen in this regard though, otherwise Italy will default and that’s going to cause a whole host of other global problems.

While you're here I meant to inquire, how are the Russian hit squads treating you over there?

Can you explain how that works when the actual data differs across countries? So Spain we know has covered deaths outside hospital and Italy hasn’t and Italy as a case in point it’s estimated 40% are from outside hospitals? How is non known deaths evaluated and when does the sample become representative?

I think we are up to question 10 on the refuse to answer list now.

Which of course no one said and I’m still waiting on answers I may hacevtk start a separate thread on the points you are refusing to answer

Test will be after this situation when they try and find an economic way forward. Can see that being bloody when certain economies (there, here and others) are going to need a lot more help than others and rules have to be rewritten on budget deficits , ECB lending etc.

He’s claimed every country can now set their own budgets, close or open borders and stop flights without authorisation - it’s huge progress and I may suggest we reverse our decision when he supplies the evidence

Really? Over here they announced that Leaving Cert & Junior Cert (A level & GCSE) will definitely be going ahead. Thats caused two things- mass panic in 16 & 18 yr olds who assumed exams were off and did no work, and secondly a barrage of questions about how they can do it, looks like it will be online exams.
Think France are doing the same with Bacs

I have actually said nothing of the sort.
Flights were stopped coming in from China to here actually before other countries.

The sovereignty of Parliament is a fundamental principle of the UK constitution. Whilst Parliament has remained sovereign throughout our membership of the EU, it has not always felt like that.

Was this a lie?

Yeah I agree, I think they’re going to have to though.
