I agree. In the short term at least the government will emerge with increased popularity

How anyone can still back this Government’s performance in this crisis is truly bewildering they chose the strategy Of (herd immunity) that went against all outside advice ‘including that of the World Health Organisation.
By the time they realised the error of their ways our fate was sealed, and any hope of an early lockdown lost.
They also had the geographical luxury of watching other Countries succumb to the
Virus ‘and the effects it had on their respective Health Services.
They failed to secure early’ the necessary PPE and medical equipment needed to fight the virus on its arrival.
Couple this with the chronic condition our NHS is in ‘even without this virus because of 10 years of Austerity driven cuts to equipment and frontline staff.
These are all things that could and no doubt would have been done differently under a alternative administration.
Bojo and crew despite having hourly briefing’s from experts in the field didn’t seem to have any idea of what was coming our way until about 2 1/2 weeks ago ‘where as any clued up man in the street has been seeing it much longer.
The Governments performance so far in this crisis has been every bit as ‘shambolic’ as it is ‘disastrous’ In fact it’s been so bad ‘that I’m still not entirely sure that it isn’t being done on purpose and that “Hurd Immunity” is in fact still the path being followed.
I agree.
But that says far more about our population ‘than it does about them.
Boris won’t emerge till we’ve flattened the curve G
Priti Patel spent ages telling us how she was going to stamp out freedom of movement and all that lovely right wing type stuff, I don’t know where she is now as plane loads come in from coronavirus hotspots and those on board walk straight out onto the street.
I would also venture to suggest she’s a bit more tolerant of her despised “low skilled workers” these days seeing as they are keeping the country moving and currently trying to save thousands of lives.
And just possibly Matt Hancock now wishes he hadn’t voted against a payrise for nurses. All of them, they’re scum. Lots to be proud of in U.K., but the people that lead the place, they’re just dangerous buffoons who kill their own people with their decisions.
It’s looking like Polish beer tonight, I think we’ll start with “Lech” and see where we end up...
It does indeed. Most of the world either laughs or marvels at how many people were conned. But there you go.
I’m gonna have a wild shot in the dark before opening and say that’s about someone non white and/or a muslim?
Do you reckon ?In the short term at least the government will emerge with increased popularity
I believe Spain has just extended their curfew for another 2 weeks. Given we’re about 2 weeks behind them in terms of the curve I’d say Niall Ferguson is talking nonsense. Not withstanding that Spain has a stricter curfew than us I’d say we’re in this situation until early May at best.Niall Ferguson said today we could see alifting on restrictions in 10 days when he thinks things could potentially start to plateau.
He did follow it up by saying as long as people keep following current social distancing guidelines. It could be a ruse to stop people taking the piss during the good weather of the next couple of days
No it’s an MP breaking rules - I really can’t be bothered with this nonsense again

Sorry if that sounds like I’m shooting the messenger, really not trying to do that Clint.
Same here. I’ll be social distancing for a good while yet.Personally I'm not going to be racing to the pub or any other crowded place the minute they announce the removal of restrictions. Will be keeping contact to a minimum for a few more weeks and see how things are going.
E20 - Level 13 with Jersey & Guernsey teams 2.0
(Can PM ya if you need help...it’s piss easy anyway mate)
Ah so we know he will be back in 2 days then lolIf he hasn’t show recovery in 3 days there is a likelihood he will be hospitalised
Ah so we know he will be back in 2 days then lol
Fair play but don't be a hero...if you are having trouble breathing, ffs phone 999.I hear you. But also I’m a typical bloke who won’t go to a doctor until he’s literally dead. I just thought I’m probably still registered at my old GP in Holbrooks so gonna give them a call when they open Monday and see what’s what. Dont worry about me guys, when I stop posting here you’ll know it’s serious
Are deaths down mate?Italy
intensive care cases down by 74 compared to yesterday, seen as important news, it’s the first decrease
1238 recovered
681 deaths
2886 new people tested positive but more testing happening
Yes they are. They emphasised the importance of the decrease in intensive care much more though. Are deaths down mate?

Ah, but what they lack in ‘critical long term strategic thinking, empathy, substance, gumption and reliability. It does indeed. Most of the world either laughs or marvels at how many people were conned. But there you go.
Be interesting to see if Italy drop alot next week as we are seemingly following on a similar path all be it nearly 2 weeks behindYes they are. They emphasised the importance of the decrease in intensive care much more though.

In the recent GE the Government won and won well with about 70% of the population voting, with this virus the whole country are on it and affected one way or the other, the recriminations will come and realisation that government negligence of the NHS and other austerity measures will come home to roost. There will be a huge political fall-out due to all this imo.
I don’t think it’ll drop a lot, I think it’s going to take a while but it’s going in the right direction.Be interesting to see if Italy drop alot next week as we are seemingly following on a similar path all be it nearly 2 weeks behind
lol and sure enough there we go- so predictable. You’re a foolish, xenophobic man, and it’s Saturday so I will continue with my alcohol- related business untroubled by your warped nationalism.
Will be interesting to see what enforcement there is. Think a lot of companies are counting on nothing being checked. Are even the basics going to be checked? It sounds like quite a few places might be having very unpleasant visits from HMRC in the months ahead.
Very different to mine, still got everything. Have been told to ensure our out of office doesn't mention furlough, still check emails & messenger, attend team & company meetings and undertake training.A few non essential roles are going through it at my place. Hand phones, laptops, post it notes, pencils, rubbers, passes, everything in.
No contact. Nothing. Doing it properly. Massive international company. In the media a fair bit especially now. Taking absolutely no chances whatsoever.
Exactly right. If you argue it you're not going to end up better off. I got a call at lunchtime, then a letter a couple of hours later to confirm which had to be signed and returned before the end of the day. Doesn't really give you time to get anything in it checked. They even slipped in a change to our contracts to allow lay off and short time. And the company cannot make you go on furlough either, if it’s not in your contract you have to agree with it. Not massively recommended to fight it though as if you do that you’ll get the inevitable “in that case I am informing you your position is at risk of being made redundant”..
You can buy an emergency inhaler from a pharmacist. They may well check to see if its on your prescriptions list but that is an option. i myself ave don same on a ccouple of occasions down the years and never had a problem.Do-do chesteze tablets can offer some relief. I got caught short once on a weekend break with no inhalers miles from home. Something irritated my chest (a particular type of pollen I think) and I went to a local pharmacy and they recommended them. Not as effective as an inhaler but they took the edge off enough so I could sleep at night and not have to abandon a romantic weekend with my then girlfriend to go back home all because I forgot to pick up an inhaler.
I think those dodo tablets died off years ago.You can buy an emergency inhaler from a pharmacist. They may well check to see if its on your prescriptions list but that is an option. i myself ave don same on a ccouple of occasions down the years and never had a problem.
Their is no need in this day and age to go without if you've forgotten one.
Bless him, different breed that generation.Sensible. I intend to do exactly the same.
Wish I could get that through to my 90 yr old dad though.
I just rang him to see what food he wants and he told me he went shopping himself this morning.
