Used to scare the shit out of me everytime the ball went near him for the first couple of seasons. Then settled more and looked a competent centre half. At which point we sold him.

I never booed him or anything like that, but I thought he was a very poor player, who could barley pass the ball to his own man even from 5 yards.

Plus, he earned caps for Scotland, thus proving his total lack of ability even more.

to be honest, it's not so much I liked him, more didn't think he was as bad as people made out.

his signing turned our season around, (albeit he was signed quite early in the season). Don,t think just McAllister benefited from his arrival, the Moroccans did as well.

Never been comfortable with stick given to home grown players, or those that you can see give their all, even if they might be limited. If people hide its a different matter, and I can particularly remember Runar Normann and Julian Gray being the worst examples of that, and fully deserving of the stick they got.

See I disagree. The recycle the ball well. They looked for the best pass. The fact our strikers weren’t always best placed isn’t Clingan’s/Hughes fault.

I use Joe Cole as another example. You could see he was thinking 2/3 moves ahead of the rest of the team. Ultimately it rarely came off. Interestingly it was only Maddison who could read Cole

Jacob Murphy. Anyone with a brain could see how good of a player he was. But as soon as the crowd got on his back he seam to disappear.

I probably went to approximately 15 games that season and I swear in all but probably three he was absolutely appalling. Honestly amazed he has gone on to play at a higher level. Still think he will end up back in League 1 before long.

Considering the panning you give to any of our young players who aren't being scouted by Prem clubs, you selecting these two donkeys says a lot. Both played in the team that was relegated and the one technically relegated in 97. That said, Williams was likeable for some reason.

Kyle Reid infuriating a lot of the time but then could produce a piece of magic like the ball for George Thomas in the checkatrade final and I am sure produced an amazing assist earlier that season as well.

He was a total burden on the team most of the time.

Also most recently he has been bench warming for Sheff Wed. Speaking to many fans there they feel the same as we do. If you look at their results there is a ridiculous correlation between when then lose or concede goals and him being on the pitch.

Yeah just before he went out on loan he was awful, I remember he managed to miss an open goal from a few yards out. When he came back though he was actually immense.

Morrell wasn't awful in my opinion. We signed him as a goalscorer and then proceeded to play him on the right wing. I don't remember him being 'hero worshipped' either. We have certainly had many far worse players.

Panning? Think most considered would be justified. Are we saying then that now the likes of Burge-Haynes-Willis et al, have moved on that we have not moved forward and in a better position?
