I think they will vote on 3 options. Null and Void, PPG and PPG weighted. Playing on will not be an option. The one with the most votes will be the decider.

How does the voting go for this, is it majority or 75% and what’s the initial question? For example if 34 of the 47 teams say cancel that’s less than 75% - do we continue playing or what?

I wonder if the EFL have X amount of votes them selfs. So if it’s close they can throw their weight around

I imagine these will be the options, The EFL will already have their preferred method of ending the season and will try and coerce enough teams into voting that way, Null & Void will be voted down when the EFL tell clubs in this scenario no prize money will be given (about 400k per team in league 1 I think).
The playing on option will probably have a clause stating that if this impossible to do then the league will be decided by PPG/PPG Weighted.
The EFL will also lay out the costs of carrying on the season, Which the 6 or so clubs will vote for, But everyone else will vote against due to cost. But I imagine the rest including the relegation teams will vote for a form of PPG. As Bolton, Southend and Tranmere won't be willing to take the 400k hit on prize money.
The main argument i suspect will be whether they have playoffs or not and how to go about that. As suggested a 4 or 8 team straight knock out tournament would possibly be fairest all at a neutral venue(s) completed within a week.
A London Ground or 2 would probably be best as none of the teams are London based.

Just hope there isn't any ridiculous way we would get roped into this.

I think the prospect of including playoffs as an option is difficult because there are too many possible variations. Including the top 8 teams for example wouldn't be fair to us or Rotherham. The only way that could work IMO would be to decide the final league positions based on sporting merit (PPG, weighted PPG or whatever) and the 3rd promotion slot could be decided by playoffs between teams in 3rd to 6th in the normal way.

promote us and 2nd and have a game of paper scissors to decide 3rd

Looks like there is a fight on

Peterborough have won 7 of their last 10 games and have only just creeped into 6th.

Sorry Darragh but what about the other 25 games?

Settle this now on a PPG basis. In fact I don't care as long as we go up without another ball being kicked.

PPG to sort out the promotion, relegation and play offs places.

The play offs semis would then be played a single match in a neutral venue. The final obviously in a neutral venue.

Fair?

The majority of clubs have furloughed their staff and players.
Once training re starts they cannot be on the furlough scheme. The clubs cannot afford to pay the employees without income from gate money. Any matches played will be behind closed doors
Unless the EFL fund the clubs or money paid to clubs by the PL then the L1 and 2 matches will not re start

Given BCD games look necessary for the forseeable future, should the 2020/21 EFL season be cancelled too?

Don't see it getting fully completed.
1 player gets tested positive and there is 1 club that is quarantined for 2 weeks. So with the suggested schedule that's 4 or 5 opponents that aren't going to complete their fixtures before the cut off dates.
There are L1 clubs saying they can't complete the season financially anyway.

I have my doubts any EFL decision will be known until the Premiership decide 100% what they are doing, still a chance there will be no games and if that happens despite FA denials a chance of no relegation and an increased Premiership for a season or two, either way I don’t think the EFL will re-start and we will be promoted with Rotherham and one other so get the banners and scarves ready.

Any legal challenges will be pretty much a waste of time surely as the whole situation falls under the category of "force majeure" - previously known as an "act of God" covering wars, earthquakes and epidemics...most contracts will have a clause covering such eventualities.

What’s the point of another meeting today if it cannot be decided , how many meetings is this now ? A firm grip on this has to happen . Just run a mini tournament for playoffs with the teams after PPG appearing in top 6 . We are talking 3 games semi and final , they can be 30 min each way. The most striking stat in all this is no where I can see on Paddy power betting site any new bets for L1 football , if there was a sniff of a bet I.e a chance that it could still be on then it would be there for sure, based on that we either void or PPG , the bookies always ahead of the market on such things

That phrase normally applies in contractual talk , it covers much more than acts of god I.e industrial action Like strikes or HSE action , basically when a contract cannot be delivered due to 3rd party issues out of the hands of the supplier

Interesting. Maybe Bolton have been preparing for league two for so long they just want to get on with it.

Voiding May mean penalties re-imposed so I’d not be surprised - the agenda doesn’t look like any conclusions are going to be decided today

so it's 75% of clubs needed to support restarting the season according to Andy Holt of Accrington Stanley

How to complete undermine your own argument on one tweet. PPG is unacceptable, integrity of the competition blah blah blah. As soon as there's mention of PPG giving his team a play off spot he's fine with it!
Yup. He is contradicting himself within a couple of lines.

has Neville changed his stance that's it's financially impossible for L1 & L2 to restart due to poor finances?

No Neville for once seemed to be realistic pointing out the cost for most clubs of starting behind closed doors is prohibitive.

From the debate you could see how the argument will go - play off teams and possibly teams in danger of relegation want to continue and everyone else happy to finish now on ppg.

Not sure what the rules are for any vote though; is it majority rule or a higher %

He said on an interview to sky he doesn't expect a vote today. But its all smoke and mirrors at the moment from all involved

Sun journalist Alan Nixon tweeted this morning that the cost of tests for the rest of the season will total £5m shared between the league. Averages out around £215,000K per club. Huge ask for the many clubs who are already at their knees financially.

Neville said 150k for testing alone per club if I heard the quote right.
