Intriguing; arousing one's curiosity or interest; fascinating.

Yup. I’m in. This will be my Club. Cheers everyone.

Are you sure? Being a Sky Blues Fan is like going on a roller coaster ride, lots of ups and downs but with more downs then most .

But when it's good, it's good, and then it's got you "SKY BLUE FANS NEVER QUIT "

It’s bloody tough being a city fan, we have had years of crap results, bad management , no home but doesn’t matter. You love the club and nowt gets in the way of that.

now we have been to Wembley twice, look to get promoted again but none of it changes the love for the club. You have one club for life and that’s that!

So I’ve been looking for a club to support for years. I’m not from the UK so I don’t have any ties. I have my bouts with ADD which makes me quite indecisive. I’ve also had my fair share of impulsive actions trying to follow various clubs. Anyway to this point I haven’t found a club that I felt I could support long term, I’d always lose interest for some reason. I find Coventry City intriguing. Simply said I like the colours of the club and the Sky Blues have huge potential with its fan base and current position. I know the owners have been a problem for years, but I’m wondering what the current outlook is amongst fans? And what’s it like supporting this club? Thanks for your time. Stay safe. Crazy times were living in.
Once you signed up then ask your friends and relatives

Ok for your initiation you should watch this

It’s a great video. It goes up to the efl trophy final in 2017, since then we’ve had 2 promotions (assuming this season counts).

If you want one from our promotion series - Coventry city 17/18 a new hope is a great watch

No, unfortunately not. My first trip to the UK was in the summer of last year, but I was part of a tour group that visited the famous sights. However, one of the ironies of the trip was a visit to Old Trafford which felt very wrong to me. I did mention to the tour guide that I was a Cov fan and got under their skin a little about what the Pogba situation was like, what their thoughts were on Man City winning the title and how I felt the re-appointment of David Moyes as manager of Man Utd would be great for them (tongue in cheek). Anyway it was all good fun.
Haha! Good work!
I love that we have fans all over the world. We’re not the most fashionable (putting it mildly) team, or city come to think of it. However I believe it makes our victories, especially over the last couple of seasons, that much sweeter.

Good keeper depending on his wage demands would be good competition for Marko

You lot are a solid bunch and deserve all the success the Sky Blues are getting this season. Hopefully Coventry get promoted. As for me, I may have spoke to soon, impulsive again. I find it quite bandwagony to hop on a club that’s about to get promoted. But whatever happens, thank you again for all the replies, it’s much appreciated. I can’t reiterate it enough, you guys are a solid fan base, with a club that deserves to be in the top flight. Cheers. Stay safe.

Jay, you’ve made Robert Jarni look like a paragon of virtue in terms of loyalty to us!

Thank you for the good wishes and positive vibes. The Sky Blues are still very much a work in progress and you'd still be coming in on the ground floor if you decide to be fan of ours. So I don't think anyone would consider that "bandwagony". As many have said, it takes a great deal of patience to be a fan of Coventry, but it makes us savour each major accomplishment that much more (cases in point being the last few Wembley visits). Take care.

Call me an old cynic .
But I sense someone's been' Tickling your tummies' , as Micky Adams used to say .
Some gentle trolling maybe ?
The sort of stuff I regularly fell for in my early day's on here

I suspect you’re right. I quite liked the gentle trolling!

Googling "Jay Enrile" and a number of instances appear. On the Brum forum, last post 7th May and accounts on Sheffield Wednesday (same intro as this ones), West Ham and Brizzle Rovers forums.

Possibly somebody bored during Lockdown.

Or it could be this guy, a point guard in Quezon City, Phillipines basketball team :D

Do you live in Coventry still and have children?
Luckily I don't have kids or ever intend to. I don't know what i'd do if I did but even if they became city fans it would be through a family connection being passed down through generations as it was to me from my family being from the city.

I personally think the Premier League is a lot worse off now it is a consumer product made to be sold to fans around the world in an effort to generate ever increasing revenue. There is very little atmosphere there now, particularly at the top 6, and much of that is to do with large numbers of tourists turning, buying merchandise, taking a selfie then fucking off home while simultaneously pricing traditional working class fans out of the ground.

I'd be a hypocrite if I thought encouraging someone with no connections whatsoever to become a fan was a good thing just because it's our club. Same as when everybody was creaming about that Scandinavian guy and his flag. Football would be a lot healthier if people supported their local team.
