Have asked to point it out. Sometimes when there's some underlying tones about something that happened years ago buried in politics threads I rarely read I need them explaining to me! Not quite as obvious as some of the shit in this thread.
I think it was done tongue in cheek because ironically the person now complaining about it kept referring to him as IRA Dave or something equally moronic.

State of this thread today. Amazed hill managed to stay as calm as he did, must have been absolutely raging.

Does concern me that being against racism means you are now regarded as a raging leftie. Shouldn't being against racism be the default and those who think differently the ones regarded as having extreme views?

There's BLM protests all around the world today. How many other countries have seen scenes like we've seen in the UK?

Oh fuck off Grenners

I'll stick a picture of Marty McG meeting the Queen up. Now there was someone who actually was in the IRA.

Exactly, how on the other foot sometimes love to throw the accusation of being racist about. Almost the same thing Ali G used to throw about 15 years ago for comedy.

Have seen it this week with those city fans and the actual racist prick got forgotten about.

Needs a bit of balance and common sense.

Without going too deep into it I was raging but it's a usual occurrence (in real life if the discussion comes up) so I'm used to it.

Thing that makes me laugh about Grendal is he is so thick he doesn't realise there is someone on here with a picture of a leader of the IRA who waged war against the British but he's said fuck all to them.

America. Spot the common denominator.
Half these prick will be in their locals soon when lock downs over and reverentially telling their black 'mates' how the protest wasn't racist honest.

To be fair, both sides have kicked off in both countries. (Not everybody at every protest either, by the way)

My God, I've just scanned pages 44 and 45 of this thread and the level hatred is shameful. All this black/white left/right name calling is worse than anything I've ever seen, and it has been pretty bad on other threads in the past.
Some of you should have a day off. Surely you've got friends/ family you could engage with rather than waste your life with this absolute bile, day in, day out. Life's too short.

Exactiy this is an example of what happened in the early 80’s - the uk is a fairly centrist country - we have very little extremism in parliament compared to most countries and unfortunately these incidents are just examples of anarchic extremism on both sides

Don't buy this both sides as bad bollocks to be honest.
Within the last fortnight some far right fucker got jailed for attempting to fly from the UK to the US to bomb camp America.

These fuckers are another level. Their murder count has to be second the the Islamists and rising.

Im not saying there's a percentage or giving one.

Just that both sides have rioted in both here and America, they might have but did BLM kick off in other countries as bad as here or America?

How much does the media and social media play a part too?

Reports that Tommy's good old British lads are doing Nazi salutes in front of the cenotaph.

Apologies if this has been addressed in the interim, but I’m not convinced they were doing nazi salutes. To me, looked like your standard football “throw your hand in the air when you’re holding a can in the other”. Doesn’t change they’re a bunch of dickheads but I think people may be looking for extremities.

Disclaimer: I’ve only seen a couple of twitter videos and none of the news so I may be wrong in my judgement.

Neither do I but you've got to try and keep it civil or there is no conversation apparently.

Don't get me wrong. Some of the BAME protests have crossed a line but in the last few years the far right have started racking up a body count.

Oh yeah I get that, I just meant recently.

I wouldn't say it was "BAME" too, a lot of people kicking off at the BLM stuff were white too!

There's no excusing the "football lads".

It's true. I've called people out on it before and suddenly I'm the bad guy. Fuck that.
What I don't get often is the reaction. I'm sure there are times I unwittingly say something offensive. But if you were to tell me you found it offensive I'd apologise because, well, (generally!) I don't want to offend.

What I wouldn't do is rant about lefty snowflakes!

Now if I *wanted* to offend, that's a different matter.

Even the word offended is a loaded word these days. Like you are weak if you are. So I'm reluctant to say I was with this shit going on earlier. I was more angry and baffled.

That makes three of us- he probably hasn’t seen the movie

Bingo - and you “know nothing about politics” now you are reported as it’s very obvious where the allegiance is
