Ricoh - Gut Feeling (5 Viewers)

It basically comes down to this again:

If Sisu drop the legals Blah blah blah

like others have said starve them out. They’ll be gone by Christmas and the wicked Witch will begin her term with an elephant In the top. The size of a football stadium.

Genuine question: if the case hasn't been heard before 31 December does that mean that the EU no longer has any jurisdiction and hence this is all a moot point? Back in the Ricoh on 1 Jan?

Potentially if we leave with no deal. However we will need to do a deal at some point in the future and that will almost certainly include a requirement that anything that happened while we were still a member of the EU is subject to EU rules and regulations.

I'm sure the EU will have a requirement that everything that happens after we left continues to be under their jurisdiction... without expressing any opinion on the matter personally, I just cannot see the UK agreeing to that. It's possible I guess that the compromise position could be that existing cases get followed through.

Don't forget the stadium naming rights! Wasps have been unable to find anything or anyone willing to pay anything decent since the long term Ricoh deal came to an end.

We are the big draw now we are in the Championship! It's the 3rd best-watched league in Europe! It does complicate the commercial deal further but highlights how they need us more.

I don’t think anything concrete will happen until C19 has moved on or been sorted to a extent , too many other factors at the moment I feel

I’ve a gut feeling that we will be playing back at the Ricoh next season – some fans are saying it was already a done deal others are saying nothing has cahnged in Wasps stance so we wilol still be palying at Birmingham. Are ther indications that e will be? fistly thoughts are that we are not really known of late to splash 1.3 million on a player – Looks like we are going to offer O’Hare a decent contract and he will want paying a competitive salary to keep him – Comments of late from the management of CCFC including Joy Seppala all point to playing back at the Ricoh
Uless they lay a new pitch and manage it properly as a football playing surface id be more than happy to stay at St Andrews. We hold the all the aces now so any deal needs to be in the best interests of the club and not wasps. Unless the playing surface is top quality it will be like starting on minus points

And this is where we need the local media to press wasps on the fact that the legals (that don't actually exist but I'll humour them) can't be dropped as it's a complaint... The telegraph and cwr have been such an utter disgrace in this whole situation they should hang their heads in shame (Whilst waving their wasps flags of course)
More chance of us signing messi

Believe Joy is religious and while a nod to the Cathedral on past help is a nice touch, lets not kid ourselves that money was the factor last time rather than any devine intervention.

Its' a different ball game with a different excuse - but the resolution is the same and if the Dean wants to make a difference he could try phoning the Pope for a bit of cross party cooperation and see if he'll indemnify Wasps. The Catholic church isn't short of a bob or two.

I'd be shocked if we aren't back there, it just makes so much sense for all parties involved.

What we have to make sure of (and personally I have every faith in Dave boddy and his team doing this) is that the deal is beneficial to us as a club for however long we are there. We need a cut of everything and we need assurances on the quality of the pitch amongst other things.

I am desperate to get back to cov but it has to be on the right terms otherwise all the good work that has been done over the last few years will be very quickly undone.

Spot on. The last season we were there the pitch got into really bad condition (watch our victory against Stoke). If we our in a stronger position now, then I would request that they pay for the upkeep, but the we have control of the management. I do not want all the good work undone by an organisation that picks and chooses when we can go into our home stadium.

I just can't see SISU dropping the legals after coming this far. Everyone seems to think Wasps are struggling financially myself included so with no crowds it must be very tempting for them to carry on as before to put more pressure on them.
Promotion has helped our cause massively in future discussions.

The worst pitch I’ve ever seen didn’t stop us thumping Tranmere.

Or Wycombe.
The truth is we need to get back to Coventry ASAP and ideally would of never left of course. Twice. The revenue and income streams of fair are there to be had.

What legals do you think they won't drop? There are no legals, as established and confirmed many, many times. Why do people keep falling for "the legals", a line that is only pushed by Wasps and the Council?

I know and respect why people want the team back in Coventry but speaking personally...

...having the club at the Ricoh with a London Franchise Rugby Club makes me want to fuckingvomit

I think it makes us all do bar one or two exceptions.

but the financial reality is there clear as day.

And we want a slice of that pie.

Hardly s good example against a team who were crap and got relegated. Would you be happy to watch us try to play on a pitch like that every week. It was aweful and the game should have been called off

For the last time, there are no legals on the table to drop. The EU complaint is just that, a complaint and if the EU decide it warrants legal action then it will be against the council and separate to wasps so saying drop the legals means nothing as there is fuck all to drop.

That line is designed to get the mouth foamers all worked up and blaming sisu for the fact we aren't in cov, whereas the blame (this time) solely lies with a London rugby team... If our local media had any bollocks these are the things that would be addressed but unfortunately that would involve pissing off their biggest advertiser which would lose them a load of money which is obviously more important than people knowing the truth

As was pointed out, the pitch at Wycombe was also very dry, cut up and bobbly.

No one is “falling for a line” it’s shorthand for all the efforts to get the Ricoh through JR/EU complaint/naked pictures of Ann Lucas. Everyone knows this, this is the stupidest argument on this site. Second perhaps to “Are Sisu CCFC?”

We all know Wasps want any attempts to reverse the sale stopped and Sisu don’t want to. Wasps want to be cunts about it even though Sisu can’t stop what’s in motion. Our only hope is they decide to swallow their pride and let us play there despite the <insert acceptable word for *waves hands* all this here>

Stay away from W***s and the Ricoh and let it play out in relation to the London rugby clubs financial status. Fingers crossed they will be bust by then. Going back only delays W****s finally going under/leaving Coventry.

Old ‘Faggie fingers‘ Ann Lucas and Tim Fisher are to blame with the club not being at the Ricoh.
