I have to agree with the general.conscious on here, the design - I absolutely love, but it's a banner not a poster, and it's too busy. The slogan, I admit is a bit cringy. Really didn't want to add to the negativity in here, as I loved the concept.

However, as they say, don't give problems without solutions, so feel free to dm me whatever file it is and I'll have a go at cleaning it up, no promisies, obviously not as good as a pro. Might be worth going back to the designer with the feedback on here too, see what they can do.

You’ve probably posted about 20 designs, taken people’s money and now posted yet more designs of flags and seem to have ditched the previous designs that those who donated wanted...you’d be better off just giving people their money back and forgetting about it...can’t see this ending well for you.
Agree with this completely until the 'forgetting about it' part - this can still end well.

People put their hard earned cash in based on the initial concept, with some subsequent design input. At this stage I don't know why someone like me, who has contributed fuck all along the way either financially or artistically, is getting a vote on a flag that some other dude has already chucked a grand into.

Refund all the money, come up with two designs that you like, put it to a public vote and then ask for donations towards getting the winner made.

Otherwise the longer this goes on it will start to stink like an 'all you can drink' boat trip on the Thames.
That is a very weird analogy but I love.it.

Your specials one is still the best for me. A flag needs to be a simple bold concept.

The hand drawn yellow crown in "A" looks tacky and childish.
Will he really be 'Forever a Sky Blue' as stated in "B"?
So I chose "C". Straight forward and simple. (Like me!)

wish to add a design Stand up for City??
My partner is a graphic designer and swears by less is more. Of the original designs offered these are not the best choices in my opinion... If I asked someone to design a poster for one of my shows and they came up with this I'd send them away and find a new designer. Well you asked! Not a lot of imagination at work, but hey.... we're in the Championship!!

Took it to the first game at St. Andrews then got told by the security officer on the second game that I can’t take it anymore cause it was a ‘political statement’. Proper load of bollocks lol
I’ve never seen it in the wild, just online. We must frequent different establishments.

It'll be to commemorate Robins.

The point is he’s risen to the level of a Hill or a Sillett and deserves a permanent place in the clubs history. (At least it is for me)

He hasn’t risen to a level of hill or sillett - that’s just silly - and given swift fortune changes in football he could easily be gone if we are bottom - how would you then parade a flag beating an ex managers name around when a new manager is there. It all just seems a bit strange to me - if people want a picture just put a picture of him like they did hill and stick it on the seats

Was this post meant for the 'just hear me out' thread G?
(sorry, but couldn't resist!)

Raneira was fired after winning the premier league you wouldn’t be carting it around now - anyway that aside the methods odd

If people have put money into this thing why can I vote? I don’t get if

Oh behave. How much silverware have the club won before? We aren’t too good for lower league stuff we are where we are, Robins turned around the club and while he still has a way to go to hit Hill levels, he joins an elite set of managers who have won trophies and/or promotions with the club, as well as stamping an identity and unity on the club I haven’t seen since the Premiership days. You can argue that Hill and even Sillett are ahead of him all you like, but the drop to the next set of managers in recent history is a steep one.

As I say it’s not really the point of the discussion Here but for me top flight survival even is more of a skill in the 70’s and 80’s than lower league success

The main point here is the ability to vote on something you haven’t contributed to is strange

So you don't rate Jimmy Hill then?

What nonsense! By that rationale will the security officer be stopping players from ‘taking the knee’ or stopping people from observing a minutes silence for Remembrance Day?
Now I think about it l, when I was a kid my dad took me to St. Andrews to watch Pompey vs Brum. The stewards took a rattle (shows how long ago it was) off this woman, who looked like she was in her 70s. Daft bastards.

Totally different as he achieved 3 promotions (finishing 6 wouldn’t have been a promotion then) and numerous pioneering firsts in the game - his status in the game as well.

That said the achievements of Milne and Sillett do stand alongside him I think.

Also my views on his years as chairman are well known

In my eyes the two tone one was the best - it immortalised a great season, great kit and great memories. Future Proof!

Only two promotions for JH.
I loved each of Hill, Milne and Sillett as our manager. In my view Robins deserves his place alongside them having turned the playing fortunes of this club around while working for crap owners and having to play the whole of last season away from home.

I think I saw something on the Facebook forum about the flag a day or two back, about voting to choose new / amended wording.

I'm hesitant to offer an opinion when I've had no involvement, but I think the organiser needs to make a decision and stick to it, rather than looking for input from a variety of sources. Like the saying goes, a camel is a horse designed by committee.
