Big rumours that Wilson has been spotted at Spurs training ground...whats our percentage of next sale?

Either 10% or 15% depending on who you ask, of the profit. Twitter seems to suggest £10-15m is the price, he went for £3m so £700k-£1.8m for us. Not to be sneezed at.

Probably been covered earlier in the thread, but just found it Ruben Lameiras is playing in the Portuguese top flight! For the team that finished 6th last year.

Done alright for himself

was always going to be one of those players that would do better the higher up the pyramids where there is more time on the ball and technical qualities are more important than physical qualities.

I must be in rare company - I rated Kent whilst he was here and rate him now

Our fans were like clapping seals as he danced through three players.

Shame every time he tried to pass, cross, or shoot, it went out for a throw in.

The most frustrating player I've ever seen in a CCFC shirt. So much ability, but just absolutely pants.

See I get the top paragraph - same people who thought doyle was good.

whilst Kent’s end product was not great, he dragged players out of position, leaving Armstrong and Murphy completely unmarked.

I get that Cole didn’t help matters, but our form dropped drastically when he left. His ability to pull players away was missed

Sorry, but that's the biggest bullshit argument.

I heard many fans saying he 'dragged defenders out of position'.

If that's your only attribute as a player you are grasping at straws. He had zero end product and was largely a burden in the team like Murphy. As much as people don't want to admit it. Losing O'Brien was a big problem and another piece of evidence that Mowbray was terrible. We lost any steel in the team and to throw that away after christmas like we did was criminal.

We were averaging 3 to 4 goals a game that season. Kent got one goal and one assist. But as I said, because he danced through a few players, some of our fans were like clapping seals.

Judging a player now on performances from 4 years ago. Almost makes sense that... If he was the finished product we would never have had him on loan in the first place.

He quite clearly has huge amounts of potential, and if you look at his stats they are getting better every season.
3 in 5 is it this season for goals?

Does make me laugh when armchair fans think that they know more than managers and scouts. Biesla has wanted Kent for 2 years. Clearly they are all wrong! Because he didn't score 40 goals in league one 4 years ago!

Jim O'Brien has gone from strength to strength since he left us hasn't he? Whilst Kent can only boast about playing in the europa league and Murphy got a big money move to the premier league.

A lot of passion for Ryan Kent!

It’s time to move on, he has. He was good and seems to be doing well for himself.

Lol Jacob Murphy scored 10 goals for us. He was a good player.

how you can criticise Kent and praise O’Brien, O’Brien was a try hard and that was it.

Think you’ll find that during that season, given the choice, fans would’ve rather permanently signed Murphy over Armstrong.

You’re deluded.

If you actually went to games that year Armstrong at times was unplayable.

Murphy was greedy, lacked imagination and never tracked back.

I’d have the Armstrong back from that time never mind now!

So would most of our fans.

I’m not deluded at all. I’m just remembering a poll I saw. Take it as you like, I don’t give a shit.(y)

I hear Leyton Orient fans still maintain Harry Kane is shite cos he didn't score enough goals for them at 18...

O’Brien was a real problem always out of position and being a general pain in the arse for the better more skilful youngsters, I think he felt threaten by the youngsters as a guy who was only ever going to be a journeyman footballer

A savvy player would eventually realise that with no end product the need to cover Kent wasn't as pressing as appeared and so over time his ability to 'drag defenders out of position' would decrease. The defender would be more willing to let him go a bit because the chance of him actually doing something with it wasn't that high.

Remember a game from back during school days. We found that the opposition had a player who was quick as lightning and we just couldn't catch so the entire team dropped back to not give him the space to run but all that did was put us under pressure and they dominated the game with us playing deep. But we also noticed that this player didn't have that good ball control (would just kick it and run after it), never had his head up looking for anyone (to be fair most of the time he was by himself anyway cos no-one could keep up with him) but most importantly every single shot he either scuffed, shanked or toe poked. So second half we decided we'd let him have that space because he couldn't shoot, pushed up and the game completely changed in our favour. They kept hoofing the ball to him over the top and I reckon he must have had two dozen shots in that second half and didn't score.

Our results once he left up to the final month so he had some impact. Cole was a stupid signing as was Bigi

You've seen my name pop up and decided to try and have a go when you obviously haven't really read through everything I was saying. Your obsession of following me around this forum trying to argue with me is a bit strange to be honest.

O'Brien was not a youth player like those two. I'm not even saying he was a better player, but his value to us and what he did was much higher.

Kent did nothing, and as I keep saying, Murphy was the worst player on the pitch for about 20 games that season.
