Deserved sending off or not? The way cook charged at him I’m surprised that was his reaction. Quite restrained in my opinion. Cook should be punished for that.

Didn’t see any spit, if he did then fair play a red card is deserved

Is that a 3 match ban?

Handbags but thems the rules.

Beaten by a superior side simple as that.

Their player should've gone as well. If he spat, then yes he shouldve gone.

If not, then its a soft red and the other fella should've had the same punishment.

In my opinion Cook should have gone also but rules are rules you can’t raise your hands

frustrating night, but sometimes you are beaten by a better team ....we move on

Was a reaction to that wanker Cook’s forearm smash to the face. Again begs the question what were the linesmen and 4th officials doing? Sitting there with their flags up their arses as usual. Poor from Hamer. As impressive as he’s been, it was only a matter of time before we lost him as a result of ill discipline.

Disappointed that Bournemouth had to resort to gamesmanship and blatant cheating throughout the game. Embarrassing really.

As frustrating as it is he's let the team down there. Got involved for no reason. Pretty much the rule is any hand to the chest is a yellow, you touch someones face and its a red. He may as well have punched him. Absolutely stupid from Hamer. Like others have said if he's spat at Cook he could end up with a ridiculous ban in the current climate.

Surely cook should’ve gone for violent conduct too?

Yes, but just cos he didn't doesn't excuse Hamer. The fault is not sending Cook off, not sending Hamer off.

Will be a pisser if gets looked at after game and he gets banned retrospectively. Does fuck all to help us.

Where has the "spitting" come from?
Seen the incident back numerous times.
No spitting involved.

Has to grow up... give him an afternoon with Doyler to learn the dark arts. Fucking stupid reaction to a forearm smash: fall to the floor clutching your neck and Cook may well walk instead. If your going to hit him fucking lamp him - don't go for him with your handbag (not that I advocate this reaction but at least that gives him a reputation when he comes back from his 10 match ban). Girly slapping is the worst reaction possible.

I can't imagine Hamer has spat in a televised game yet the commentators haven't mentioned it and we haven't seen a single Bournemouth player react. Could be wrong but I'd expect them to be pointing it out to the ref if it had happened.

Bournemouth were very good and well drilled in the dark arts. I never expected anything from the game , but sincerely hope we have learnt a lot from the experience. We were well off the pace and never really laid a glove on them. The 3rd goal was a great example of missing a tackle or not closing the space being punished by a quality side

He hasn't spat ive watched it back a couple times and its clear to see that his head jolts back because hes bashed into Dabo when hes jumped back. Don't worry guys just abit of whiplash.

Their player who made the tackle deserved to walk, no where near the ball, tackle from behind. It's soft but by the ruling it's a sending off for Hamer, hes quite petulant and needs to sort that out really. Can't wait for the Sheaf & Shipley partnership at CDM.

It frustrates the life out of me, but the minute cook pushed him he should have been on the floor rolling around like he’d taken both barrels from a sawn off shot gun. You’ll lose a minimum 10/15 points a season from teams cheating so you’ve got to cheat back, it’s a sad state that the games in, but that’s the reality.

I completely agree. That's absolutely what he should've done. And frankly, if you're gonna gent sent off and miss 3 games at least make it a proper right hook.

And here is the difference between experience pros and our young guns. Cook knew what he was doing and they were told Hamer has a short fuse, and hey presto he reacted. Hamer has an awful disciplinary record in Holland and it’s his weakness.

Hamer should have kept his cool and not stupidly lashed out so close to the referee (what an idiot). He's played 3 times and already should know the no-nonsense attitude of refs especially after earning a yellow and getting subbed at Bristol.

Did the first tackle on Dabo get a yellow?

A much as Cook was the WUM, you cannot raise your hands at a player. Right decision, very naive from Hamer.

Also I think he did spit at Cook, see below:

Hits Dabo and that causes his head movement.

The Bournemouth player would have massively reacted if he had spat.

He didn't spit!
