Not so sure about Marosi. Not a 7, maybe a 6. He's been found wanting with his handling in a few games and the bobbling around the goal in the first half was because he didn't claim it well. Hyam saved him and us then with 2 great pieces of quick thinking and again when they exposed our back 3 to allow their 9 to run through and Marosi's decision making allowed him to skip past his dive. Hyam sliding into the near post saved us for a second time. O'Hare was the only other standout with his forward runs. Hamer can play a sublime pass but he does give the ball away needlessly (team not yet on the same wavelengths as him ?) and has the South American temperament which will cost us a few times this season.
Otherwise, we were shown how it's going to be for the rest of the season. All the teams in the league can see we struggle against a hard press so now may be the time to introduce Walker and his pace and start to hit the gaps with occassional long balls. Not pretty but effective if it can put opponents on the back foot with pace and power.
We know the team can play better than that so mark it down as a poor performance against a team champing at the bit to get promoted again. We were taught some lessons and next game will be as tough but we'll be stronger for it.
