Really poor half. Biamou really poor, Godden with no service whatsoever.
Sheaf looking tidy again, the only positive.
Forest look ordinary as well.

O’Hare I feel is the issue not linking it
He's been poor on the ball but he's either having to win it himself or receiving it from a 25 yard pass. Never had the wingbacks up with him and has got very few options to pass to. Same problem when Allen and Shipley were in the box. The options when he gets the ball are too telegraphed. Need to start breaking lines!

Deary me, that's poor. Don't seem to be able to find each other this evening. I think that Sheaf and Rose in particular must have a pass completion rate pretty close to zero. O'Hare playing well though.

We came into it a bit but we're just too deep, need to get the wing backs up the pitch. Hamer too needs to start moving forwards for an option when Sheaf has the ball

We have to approach every match the same with our limited ability compared to teams in this league... We have to be aggressive hold our shape and get the ball forward as quickly as possible.

We've done none of that

Started ok but look shaky defensively, particularly from set pieces & we're not threatening anywhere near enough.

Osti looks uncomfortable on the left, Rose hit & miss, Marosi looks a bit erratic, Max poor control a few times & McCallum makes us completely unbalanced (not his fault) .

Need to get the wing-backs involved higher up & Hamer & Sheaf on the ball & dictating.

The stats on I follow are not a pretty read re completions.

Really ought to be capable of getting something from this game, this Forest side are about as poor as we're going to face this season.

Dabo is a huge miss left footed player at right back instead of driving they naturally want to come back on their left

Hamer looks like he’s playing further forward than usual, and he’s been pretty irrelevant as a result. If we can’t get him on the ball, we’ve got no chance.

The centre backs are really struggling to get the ball out from the back (really disappointed with Ostigard especially on this front - he looks nothing like the player we were told we were getting)

We are seeing the painful reality/limitations of the Max Biamou experiment.....we need a target man fast. It’s not Walker, right?

Look like two fairly average sides. niether have much about them but I sense we have not got out of 2nd gear yet. We need to up the tempo and stop giving the ball away, be more aggressive and push higher up the pitch. Forest do not look good at the back and we have given them nothing to worry about really. Frustrating because I sense we can be much better. The shape is not there again. I know missing key players causes Robins to re think team and tactics, but I would like to see Kelly on and puch Sheaf higher to link with O'Hare more, and Walker for Max sadly. But we can still win this. Lets see if they believe that.....

I'd give Walker 45. Forest have played poorly and got a fortunate goal, but we need to attack them. Run at Sow and he's likely to pick up a 2nd booking. Giles needs to run at their defence. Back 3 need to play it forward, not constantly passing to Marosi. Agree with the passive - it's about trying to get it in the mixer, not just possession.

Sheaf and Hamer too deep in that half. The starting position was 10 yards higher when they were in a 3 with Shipley last week. Big hole between them and the strikers as a result and it's sucking one of the strikers deep and we're virtually back to playing the ineffective box again. Giles doesn't look confident to take his man on going forward, Biamou looks tentative and McCallum and Ostigard playing at 75% in unfamiliar positions. Needs some jiggery pokery with the shape at HT and probably Walker for Biamou.

I honestly think some of that is down ro McFadzeans lack of pace, with Rose, Ostigard and Hyam we defended 10 yards higher up the pitch than we have all season.

Apparently Thier goal was offside.
No it was given as a goal. Get on with it. The team can either die in a corner or react. Lets go for it if the team is pissed off.

I thought we were ok. Sheaf playing well. Max is in Sunday league mode unfortunately, I’d take him off for Walker who should be up for this.

Their game plan will just be to sit solid and hit on the break

Missing the balance of Dabo on the right and Hyam on the left of the back three. Just seems a bit wonky, because neither fullback position can do what we usually expect. It's just a bit stodgy so far.

Balance has gone with Dabo out. We are clueless in attack and seem to be scared at having a go again.

Bring Walker and Bapaga on.

Perhaps Hamer still in the deep roke mindset? If we intend to pusg him more forward might take hom a couple of games to change his mindset?
