Taxi for Biamou? (4 Viewers)

His worse spell was 9 years!

It wasn’t as you are including his spell at Rotherham where 3 seasons were in the championship and 75% of his games were off the bench and many late on

So you think that a player getting on in the 80th minute of a game on a regular basis should have his goal stats analysed in the same way as a player who regularly starts? I don't think that that is fair.
I do think that if Biamou had had more minutes on the pitch he would have scored more goals which is a rather obvious statement. Would I have him in the team ahead of Godden? No. Godden is a better player and a better goalscorer. That doesn't mean that I can't see or appreciate the qualities that Biamou has or that himself and Godden can't be in the team together.

The fact we are even mentioning a player signed for a million in league one and a player who has scored a handful of gains approaching 30 is actually a pointless discussion

But haven't most of biamou games been of the bench?

Saying that since you hate biamou so much let's put it into perspective vardy took 5 games to get his first goal at Fleetwood, look how that turned out. You're writing a player off way to soon, and are blind to what he offers.

Jamie Vardy was an England international at the same age. Bizzare

He’s now Jamie Vardy - this is his 4th season here

Not comparing the two simply putting it that you are to quick to judge people over one mistake.

Also you said Vardy took 5 games to score a goal?

I meant 3 but still my point stands, judging players way to fast, he's only just come back from over a year out.

He was available most of last season

And look how that turns doit for jj rushing him back.

What are you on about? You just seem to be chucking out random statements

November 2018 jodi Jones comes back after 10 months sidelined with his first acl. Injury only to run down the left wing right in front of me turn crumble to the ground and boom acl injury #2 12months later jj comes back again and boom acl #3. Biamou was busiling fitness up he returned maybe the beginning of the year jan/Feb and was in u23s building fitness up, then covid happened.

I don't know a lot about football but I don't think Max will ever score 100+ PL goals, no matter how long he's given.

He only started 90 games and it’s massively distorted by his time at Rotherham where he was often used as a sub in the last few minutes of games
Oh right so that is distorted. But you talk about how few goals Biamou scored in League 1 when he had an Acl at the beginning of the first season and very few matches last season. You also exclude his goals for ridiculous reasons. Play off goals also don't count when by definition they are against one of the best teams in the league.

He featured in 26 games last season. You can count play off goals if you wish that takes his tally to 11

Callum Ball once scored against arsenal so best team in the league is random

So how many of those 26 were substitute appearances? We wouldn't want to distort statistics to support our prejudices would we.

Its not prejudice is it. He scored 4 league 1 goals and is pushing 30. Also from memory in league 2 at least 3 were off the bench - how much would you say he’s worth on the transfer market?

Not very much. Just pointing out the inconsistency here. You said JCH's stats are distorted because many of his appearances were as a sub and then you quote Biamou's knowing that most of his were from the bench.

Many of his appearances were also in the championship - he’s league one ratio is a lot better yet you think biamou may improve his in the championship which is an interesting theory

I didn't make that theory at all. I was just pointing out your inconsistent use of statistics.

It’s not though the statistics are biamou has scored 4 goals in the league below the one he is in now.

Do you think Biamou is worth £1 million on the transfer market - you seem reluctant to discuss his worth

He hardly played in League 1. And I gave you my view on how much I think he is worth.

Tbh we aren't far away from being competitive in this division
If we could take our chances in the spells when we are on top we would be in mid table
Look at yesterday
Forest were on the ropes 2nd half but we couldn't get a second or third goal to put the game to bed
We all need to keep calm
Football is overwhelmingly a confidence game
In a way not having fans there might not be the worst thing to get through this period when crowds can get on player's backs if things aren't going well
Agree totally, another day and Osti would be hailed a hero for the diving header, Max would be loved for burying it rather than hitting the post and would wouldn’t have conceded a pen on the 96th min. 3-1 and everyone on here would be tearing their cocks off on a wankfest about how great we are. Fine margins.
