Not feeling very confident about tonight, they rested a few against bournmouth to prioritise tonight’s game, there will have to be a reaction. 2-0 loss.

Wilson
Dabo, Osti, mcfadz, Hyam, MaCallum
Ohare, Hamer , Sheaf
Biamou, Walker

But wouldnt be surprised to see Giles and Ohare behind Walker.

Would be happy to see either firward line from start, will be lots of changes at around 60/70 mins.

Few like Walker , Ohare will be substituted with an eye for Saturday possibly Hamer too.

I just want a win of any sort. I'd even settle for one goal in the first minute followed by 89 minutes of panicky defence, even tho it would be agony.

This league continually bunches up - you can see it last night with Millwall beating Bristol City. We need to be somewhere in that big bunch in the middle, because then a couple of good results drives you several places up the table. We are slightly adrift of the bunch, or at the very bottom of it.

In respect to Rose, he was not fully fit when he first played this season. We need to wait until he's fully fit and played a run of games before making an assessment of his ability to compete at this level.

Be careful Colin you're talking some sense there and it may not go down very well with some of the resident football geniuses.

The usual SBT way is to write players off as not being good enough for the Championship before they've even kicked a ball; Kelly being one of the best examples of this but there are many others.

Maybe he smiled in training

Optimistic as always; I maintain our squad is more than good enough to compete and hopefully they are believing that too following our improved form. We look a much better team when we play football and/or are on the front foot. When we play defensively and hamstring our outlets we are much poorer team and invite pressure on ourselves.

Kelly will be missed today as he keeps the ball moving and his understated leadership will be a loss. Sheaf started very poorly and looked nothing more than an average footballer, but before his spelt out the team he showed lots of encouraging signs. I fear he may have gone backwards slightly based on the last game, but hopefully he gets back up to speed quickly tonight. Him and Hamer will either be a dominate creative pairing or an absolute liability! For the idiotic 'Forward' brigade, players are allowed to pass backwards and sideways if it means we maintain possession, rather than attempting hollywood passes everytime.

Errors are creeping into Wilson's game, but I would still start him. On the whole he deserves it, and while Camps pedigree is impressive, I am not sure his match sharpness will be where it needs to.

Ostigard is a brilliant signing, and our back three are a solid unit - despite the apparent inability of Hyam. I would give Giles a game, both for his attacking ability and McCallums slight dip in form, albeit I think MR will stick with McCallum for his defensive ability.

Two up front is required tonight; it would be great to see Biamou and Walker combining as they did previously, but without Kelly I can see MR playing an extra midfielder to add some stability to the middle.

Wilson
Ostigard McFadzean Hyam
Dabo Hamer Sheaf Giles
O'Hare
Biamou Walker

2-1, Biamou, McFadzean.

Mad that we haven't played these in any competition for well over 40 years!

I've got one (very optimistic) eye on the reverse fixture at the McAlpine or whatever its called now.......a May Day away day on the Magic Rock IPA

I'm still personally amazed that Robins didn't listen to Grendel's advice since he's so qualified, '4 at the back Robins son and let's completely negate our wing backs and style of play'.

He clearly did as he’s totally changed the tactics - he’s playing a far more direct form of football and realises the midfield can’t play the way they have been. As soon as he put two up front against Wycombe we started to get battered and were lucky to hang on

If we’d adopted your spirits here we’d still be losing conceding 2 every game and you’d be creaming yourself over every defeat

Turgid draw with 4 at the back-loving it

Turgid draw with wing backs-what a shit game

I actually wouldn't be overly shocked to see us go 4 at the back tonight.
Østigård one yellow away from a ban, no Kelly to sit & protect plus Huddersfield play 4-3-3 & look most dangerous down the flanks.

Not saying we should but wouldn't be surprised if Robins has thought about it.

His hands are tied quite a bit by injuries, I won't be objecting to whatever selection comes out this evening.

We were actually carving them open pretty easily up until Sheaf gave away a penalty. We were desperately struggling with the ball in the first half and that's predominantly because Walker on his own cuts an isolated figure. I really find it hilarious how you're trying to act like the one game you were curiously away for never happened. 5-3-2, Biamou MOM, no wonder the Grendel mobile packed it in

Really need something from Shipley /Allen today, theres a good chance either or both come on from bench. Midfield need some help. Hamer and Ohare need protecting suspensions or burn out in Ohares case.
