Yep, Hyam is the new boo boy and some are revelling in it.

Sheaf never stood a chance. He’s by no means set the world alight and he’s inconsistent, but he’s going to be, he’s young, inexperienced and playing in a new league. He’s also shown glimpses of his ability and importantly potential. Fans just don’t like players who don’t do Hollywood balls every time they get it.

The whole boo boy thing is just an apologists excuse really.

Hyam literally just gave the ball away as I was typing this.

Also I don't think people care if Sheaf doesn't play a Hollywood pass. Just not giving the ball away in a dangerous area would be a start.

Abysmal second half, utterly toothless. No ideas at all. Clowns on here getting at Sheaf when Shipley (hide in case somebody wants to pass to you) comes on beggared belief

Made it easy for Preston tonight, like we always seem to do.

Part time fan kieran here, if we keep playing like that it's league one football for us next season again, can't play for 2 3rds of the pitch then just start acting like headless chickens. It's OK though I'm sure you guys are super happy with the performance and result :).

we need to do in the second half of the season what we did in the first.
Would be nice to get a few bodies in admittedly.

We are missing too many players due to freak injuries. This isn't like asking for extra funds because everyone's fit and we're still looking poor, if she has the ability to inject some cash she needs to.

Probably start Shipley next game.
Cant blame him solely for this loss.
Yes he was poor but hes not alone.
If we dont shoot we cant win.
We are a poor team in the final 3rd.
And tonight at the back.

That's obviously the plan, gave up passing through them hence removing Sheaf from the pivot & putting the extra striker on.
The problem with that is even when we chuck crosses in Biamou is never going to get on the end of them.
Yep, he doesn't move, you see Godden moving but Biamou is static always.

Pathetic 2nd half. We are completely toothless in attack. We have no idea how to feed our strikers, nobody can shoot (apart from Hamer). We’re going to have issues if we don’t figure out how to attack and score goals. Sheaf started off the downfall in the second half with careless play and we should have cleared the ball for the second.

Well that was grim 🤣 glad for the cushion. Too many players didn’t perform tonight.

Would expect us to go back to ultra defensive v Millwall.

Piss poor. Someone needs to fix Liam Kelly.

When your biggest goal threat is your defensive midfielder who, by his own admission isn't a goalscorer, then you have a problem. Game was over as soon as Preston scored tonight.

Tbf, if you had a goal scorer you’d have buried us tonight. We’ve a cynical streak you guys don’t seem to have. I’m considering this a lucky win for us.
Good luck boys, always a soft spot for you cos of me da.

At least you're honest enough to admit it. Make sure someone at the club posts the cheques to our defence for their Christmas bonus

All the best, you'll be fine as you just gave that bit of cynicism / professionalism that wins these games

Agree, but there is only so long you can say that for.

but we're 17th, we'd have took it.
I struggle to understand people who said at the start of the season staying up would be an achievement but are now moaning because we're not playing free flowing attacking football. Teams that just stay up don't tend to do that.

And we've still scored more than 7 other teams in the league and are level on 20 with a further 2 so as much as lack of goals is a concern there are teams for who it's a bigger concern at the moment.

Only Wycombe have conceded more though.

I actually thought we put in a fair number of decent crosses today. We didn’t look like getting on the end of any of them. Why is that?
