Not sure, he gets fouled a lot though definitely. He does go down looking for them, but can’t really blame him. We’re always talking about being ‘smarter’ and he does that well. Shame it doesn’t happen in the box more often.

You just sense we could have made a better effort and gone throughhad we approached the game that way. Since those back to back early goals there's been nothing between the two sides. If anything we have had the best of the second. So frustrating we lacked the belief today, and then throw on yougsters and put a few minutes into James.
Might just as well have played most of the reserves.

They have been in first gear since The first half hour - they have a third choice goalkeeper and other fringe players and it’s been pretty easy

Plenty of positives. Concentrate on league.

Max is looking Sharp.
Great to get a look at Da Costa. The lads done well. Won’t get tougher than Norwich away.
Bapaga and James crucial game time. Bapaga is definitely ahead of Baka for me.
Eccles and Giles also game time.

Unlucky lads not the result we wanted but a good performance .

Plenty to be happy with. Biamou centre forward play was very good. Da costa grew ibto the game. We made alot of chsnces vs a very good team.

Bring on rest of the league campaign. We can achieve comfortable survival imo

Killed ourselves with those mad couple of minutes early on but coped ok other than that.

Dacosta, as bad as he was positionally early on, has improved as the game's gone on & will benefit hugely from this 90mins.

Frustrating but we made a good go of it, particularly 2nd half.
But for a more composed finish, better final pass etc it could have been very different & I'll expect their keeper will be man of the match.

Yeah it doesn't work.

We are playing a team that was Premier League last year and will be PL next season with a squad wage bill 8 times of ours.
We are a newly promoted team from League 1 with a squad that is in transition over the next three years.
Give them and MR an f'ing break.
