I think we will lose the games we should win and pick up wins against teams we didn’t think we would.

Agreed - Huddersfield and Blues have the worst run of games (compared to us and Rotherham) If we can pick up at least 6 points from the next 4 games, that needs to be the benchmark. Not losing to Rotherham would also help (although as posted on here before, I think they will escape, unless they lose to us and Smith's 3 match ban is upheld) then it gets trickier.

Hi Guys. I last visited your board a few weeks before the league got stopped but as a Millers fan I like to see how our rivals are doing.

We actually had a makeshift defence tonight. Ihikwe was suspended for accumulating 10 bookings. Wood was injured. Clark Robertson did his hamstring early on in the Reading game. Our most creative midfielder Lindsay got injured at Preston and is not expected back until after the international break so he will not be playing against you.

Apart from the Reading game we have actually been playing ok given the quality of the opposition. Although we had four consecutive 1-0 losses before tonight we were still creating lots of chances but were guilty of some shocking misses. Ironically Ladapo was a culprit but then he scores a goal like tonight.

I have looked at the sending off again and we must appeal that. There was no contact. Clearly if upheld Smith would be a big miss but then I would imagine Ladapo will partner Crooks up front. I don’t believe there is a better hold up man than Smith in the league. The Wednesday goal by the way was well offside.

I know you are missing Godden but right now we have 6 first team regulars out injured. Good news is 5 of them are expected back in the next 3 weeks and 2/3might be back for Brentford.

Some of you say certain teams have a hard run in and others not, but, as you know it doesn’t work out like that.

We still have you at home and the blues still have to visit us too. Additionally we still have to go to Huddersfield, but on the day anyone can beat anyone. Also I would expect more strange results as teams ease off once the play offs have been secured.

Are you going back to Cov next season? Let’s hope so. I don’t think the current landlords would be too happy if you stay up and they go down?

Let’s hope we can both stay up and both teams would be happy to take 21st right now if offered.

Anyway good luck for the rest of the season apart from March 13th of course.

I can bet you our injury issues beat yours anytime. We've had to rely on players that couldn't make the cut in League 2 as regular starters for months.

With regards to Rotherham, refreshing to go on a forum and hear nice comments about us (when we are contenders in a relegation scrap), without the usual 'f*ck 'em' type comments. it's a thumbs up from me towards them.

Yeah, well they had to play at Don Valley in Sheffield for a while so will no doubt empathise. Nice people around that part of the world generally tbh

Having seen it back the Wednesday player elbowed him in the face when the were on the ground, all Smith did was get up aggressively.

Be nice if Cardiff could beat Huddersfield for us tonight. Esp by a few goals. as we need to make sure we have a better GD then most.

Needs to be investigated thoroughly. We played a game or two a few weeks ago with 2 first team players out with Covid. This is the third of fourth game postponed by Rotherham. Fair enough if it’s a big outbreak in the squad obviously

Doesn’t seem to be a big outbreak their website says their game on Tuesday against Luton is still expected to be played

How on earth is that allowed then? I’m sure the protocols say a certain amount of players have to be out?

It does appear that Rotherham seam to get covid a lot more than anyone else. a little bit suspicious.

They should have some fixture congestion soon hopefully

This was on Tues -
The EFL can confirm that a total of 5856 players and Club staff from all 72 EFL Clubs were tested as part of last week’s testing programme, with 2 positive cases returned.

They might be trying to put it off if they have some injuries.

Even if they're not faking covid they need investigating as to whether processes aren't good enough to stop it constantly getting to the squad.

Only a points deduction would be fair imo

There is if one or two or their best players are unavailable

They have a few centre backs injured at the moment; if anybody has Cov-id now they wouldn't be available to play against Luton (Tues) or us would they?

They have a number of first team players injured, particularly defensively hence Giles started last couple & not naming a full squad so let the conspiracy theories run wild!

Could be perfectly legit but certainly needs a thorough investigation to understand why it keeps happening, are they not taking the proper precautions?

Like a shoplifter in harrods or traveller in pontins they are not welcome in the championship and should be immediately relegated. 😉

Not sure it works as well as you think for them. Assuming Luton goes ahead, it's 14 games in 60 days for them. And if not, assuming our game goes ahead its 14 in 56 days. Can't be good for a small squad.

It's up to us to start winning some games and put real pressure on their games in hand.

There was 2 cases from the whole 72 FL clubs on Tuesday so bit strange how there’s so many in one side in the latest round of testing..

Correct but if they win a couple of those ones early doors I think momentum takes over towards this stage of the season rather than freshness

Huddersfield pitch - superb
Huddersfield play nice football
Cardiff playing really defensive/deep - just punts to play off Moore. Disappointed with them so far.
