Those values are nonsense

Agreed & that's stated in the thread.
The ranking will still be about accurate.

Funny how the source is now "nonsense" when you used the exact same source to backup your claims of how much we were paying Matty James...
In Grendel’s defence he didn’t say the source was nonsense.
He trips over his own mouth often enough so let’s try to be fair when we dump on him.

We are over achieving. Mark Robins has stated we have the lowest budget in the division...

"We will have the lowest budget in the division – barring none – and I know that Wycombe have been promoted too."

I know money isn't everything, however in my opinion anytime we are not bottom of the division we are over achieving.

We have a piss poor budget, AND have to play every game away from home!
So yes we are over achieving at the moment.
(We could still end up bottom though)

Don’t know about underachieving, more like over spending in my opinion. How the fuck as spending £8M on 40 people’s annual salaries become sensible expenditure. It’s ridiculous, I bought my season ticket on Monday for £305 how can clubs be paying wages like that with 8000 fans paying £305. Every one in the world must have a sky sports subscription.

No the source on Matty James was based on the Barnsley forum and the bloke who posts on here

The forum is improved so much by reading Grendels posts in Alan Partridges voice.

The second one of which is the same source as the content creator used, like I said.

There are 3 sources he signed a 4 year deal to keep him at Leicester it’s clearly going to be a significant salary

Absolute nonsense.

Yeah he’s probably on £3 grand a week. Still why don’t you just read his mind - after all you can read the minds of 64 people and why they react to a post and the specific reason each of them like it

Not your best work, if we’re being honest with ourselves.

Grendel just doesn't like the fact that the man he wanted sacked is overachieving and to be fair he's done a good job at moving the thread away from discussion about Robins/the club overachieving to discussion about sources for James' wage.

Someone sent me this with the details of Blues players weekly wages. I can't verify how accurate it is but if anywhere near true shows how ludicrous the salaries at some clubs are.

It’s “only” an average of £4K/week

You realise all of these are just taking the figures you just called nonsense right? No one publishes individual player wages unless it comes out by accident or in a court case. Everything else is rumours and guesswork.

I don't think we are overachieving in the slightest - however I do not think we are underachieving either.

If we finish where we currently are and avoid relegation it is about par for the course for where I think we should be.
A club of our size should be in the Championship as a minimum and then hopefully strive to over achieve and reach the promised land of the premiership.

Unsurprisingly you've missed the point entirely

Yes I am aware they are estimates - however - they are estimated off total wage bills of the club. Given Leicester’s total wage bill is £122 million (2 years ago) and is largely spread across 60 players I’d say he having signed a contract within that period will be on a considerable wage when you average it out

Regardless of the importance of it, the amount of money being spent at this level is insane.

I'd love to know the comparison to the last time we were in the Championship.

Argue amongst yourselves all day.. It's a fact we have a bottom 3 budget at this level... Most teams have far superior spending power and have much larger wage bills which ofcourse attract a different calibre of player... QPR recently signing Charlie Austin as an example rumoured to be on 30k a week.

Survival this season would be an achievement, and a platform to try and build the squad to the next level... Our supporters do expect alot from our recources but a reality check is needed at times.

Even in the event of a relegation, I'm sure lessons will have been learned and the platform in place to push back and try again, we aren't the same club as before
