Yep you’d think. One of the individuals I met with said it was really complicated and that I didn’t understand. I replied to say it’s pretty simple Wasps agree to rent the pitch, ccfc agree to pay an amount to be agreed and Sisu sign it off. Can’t take more than a day surely as the rest can be resolved later.

And some of you people accuse me of being naive!!!!! Lol

The one thing that annoys me is ccc taking an interview with cwr. To say what amounted to about time and we had nothing to do with it. Lol

Simon has clearly received good solid information so he’s a journalist and fan and he’s shared what he’s been told so no axe with him

Think ccfc have been clear what they desire and it’s been clear for a while that conversations have been progressing and that there were no large insurmountable problems to resolve but these things take time and with no fans where’s the urgency?

I would imagine wasps and ccfc are as frustrated with someone giving details to the media as we are. How good would it have been for a joint press conference tomorrow or whenever where a long term agreement is announced and a new era of mutual beneficial use of the Ricoh is announced from next season?

Having said that I’m sure there’s plenty of people who know enough people for titbits and rumours to leak out. Pretty sure for Simon to publish stuff it’s a little bit more than rumour.

Also pretty sure that the parties have not sought to leak any information prior to any announcement

It’s been all over the nationals tv papers etc interesting to see the next move but as we know with these parties until it’s official I’m not getting too hyped up...it’s clearly not a done deal

I think CWR have been fed the information probably by Wasps to stop Sisu pulling out at the last minute (without public backlash). Only reason why CWR would’ve been the ones to release it.

It’s a good working theory but it’s absolutely untrue as I’m sure Simon would confirm if he were on here

Doubt it. Leaking info would be more likely to see the animosity and bad blood return and someone pulling out of the deal. Even if it was said SISU pulled out, SISU would deny it and blame it on Wasps and then it's the usual 'he said, she said' and people believing whichever side they want to.

It has been leaked to Gilbert from someone though hasn’t it? Surely they’d have announced it themselves if they’re were ready and wanted to

This is exactly why I'd prefer it all confirmed ASAP. Too many parties with big egos to balls it all up.

I know people are saying it'll be fine, but no one knows that for certain.

Indeed it must have. Just doubt the reason for it would be to prevent SISU pulling out, or even vice-versa. If anything it's more likely to scupper the agreement...

It’s the only motivation I can imagine for leaking it. I guess we’ll never know the real reason

Hopefully the fact Wasps and City have made no comment at all means it really is close to being signed off.

I did wonder if a new stadium sponsor was close to being announced and us going back was all part of a big stadium relaunch.

Personal benefit. Being the first to get an exclusive is always going to be a good thing in journalism. I bet loads of people listened to the show that normally wouldn't.

Interesting how the online store had a sticker pack on sale at the weekend which included a Ricoh Arena sticker.
I started a post on here, 2 hours later the image of the stickers were removed
