Not sure if this is Rotherham but 1 club has returned 25 positives that can’t be right

Something must have gone on with not following protocol correctly to have that many positive cases??? Hope they all make a full recovery etc but this has got to be a good thing from our point of view 👍

That being the case how was their match yesterday allowed to go ahead?
Match with Cov was postponed with nothing like as many cases?!?

That would mean we play 4 games in 9 days & a fair bit of travel too. I don't think we should really be punished like that but I guess we won't get a say.

15th v Rotherham (A)
17th/18th v Barnsley (H)
21st v Stoke (A)
24th v Preston (H)

I'd have preferred 29th
Thought it was only Rotherham who were fucked with the build up of games 🤣

Has Ostigaard actually been called up by Norway? If not the international break weekend would surely be best.

Yeah, he's been called up

And McFadzean would be suspended too now.

The Telegraph article about the rearrangement is contradictory:

Warne said:

“We are at the stage with the EFL where we have been given two options. We selected one that was preferable for me, they have come back and are saying they want us to take option two.
“We are saying that option two does not look very fair, it would be a game on a Monday and a Wednesday. Option One was a bit better, it was a Tuesday-Thursday-Sunday, which still was not amazing.”

If confirmed, the Millers will play at Huddersfield on Saturday, April 10, before entertaining QPR on Tuesday, April 13, City on Thursday 15 and yet another relegation rival, Birmingham City, on the Sunday (April 18).

It would work better for us if they moved our Barnsley game to Sunday because both us and Barnsley don't play again until the following Wednesday

They shouldn’t be given any options they should be given dates and either play of forfeit the whole league calendar isn’t done to suit him.

I think that's harsh. Surely best if at least an attempt to make an agreement with the clubs involved. before imposing things if no agreement can be made.

I'm sure whenever it is that Rotherham will be very fired up and focussed (to the detriment of their other games) on game v Coventry. A very difficult game for us and even more so without our fans helping them. It would be a whole lot better if we can get some decent results elsewhere obviously and get those 'in the bank' (that why Luton was so disappointing).

For me they shouldn't be given any options. EFL should tell them when they are playing with the agreement of the team they are playing. They have a squad and an academy set up. Tough luck if they have to use them to their detriment.

You can see them resting their best players in certain games and take free hit. Then go for it with the teams around them.

I think that's about right from Warne that they'll need five/six wins (or 15-18 points) from their remaining games. I'd probably argue they'd certainly need six rather than five as I still believe we're capable of winning three and drawing a couple out of the next 10 games (11 points).

Given that they've won nine games all season I think it's unlikely that they'll win six games out of 13 - especially if you take into account their fixture backlog which is guaranteed to have a detrimental effect on their ability to grind out results. So, we just need to concentrate on ourselves and ensure we cut the mistakes out.

Problem is for the week including our game: Sat: Huddersfield (a) strong team, as after break. Tues: QPR (h) winnable so strong/weak? Then Thurs Cov (h) winnable (but team knackered from Tues) strong/weak? as Sunday (H) Blues. I know I'm wanting it for us, but ours is the game that they will be most knackered for, unless they throw the QPR game (which would be dangerous re points)

I don't think the league wants to be in a position where it's seen to be punishing teams for Covid outbreaks. If it was us dealing with 25 cases (and there by the grace of etc etc) then we would be rightly furious if we were suddenly stripped of any say in when we completed our fixtures.

But the question that the EFL are seemingly ignoring is why do Rotherham have 25 cases when all other EFL clubs have now gone weeks without a single case between all 71 of them?
They're obviously doing something differently.
