Tbh the focus should be less on the car you own more on the journeys you make. I live by a primary school in a town with a sub 40k population with urban like density. Despite this it is traffic chaos in the morning, parents parking on nearby roads to drop the kids off. Surely with all the fucking about it’s no quicker than just walking to school.

The Union’s collapsing, vaccine supplies quietly dropping, 130,000 dead, the North East was sent into deep economic ruin by us and Brexit will make it worse BUT

We can get Boris to throw a pie in Starmer’s face while holding a pint.

And never mind the Tories have handed out billions of pounds to their mates, SOMEONE FROM LABOUR PUT SOME £250 HEADPHONES DOWN AS EXPENSES!!!!11!!1!!

An SUV is an SUV. In terms of its production and running it will still produce more carbon emissions than a 'standard' car, electric or not.

Its running won’t change anything and manufacture is covered by me saying focus on decarbonising industry. This sort of individual blame stuff works against the climate agenda generally IMO. The big polluters need to be tackled at source not with consumer actions.

I mean any car is worse than no car by this logic, but we accept people will still have cars. Equally dogs have double the carbon footprint of SUVs and no one is talking about restricting dog ownership.

I can see the point that they’re too big for our roads and that cunts drive them. Just not the climate argument.

No worries, there's now a solution for electric cars still being slightly shit

TBH I’ve been borrowing my Dads Renault Zoe over lockdown which is the definition of shut milk float and it’s been great! Beats most things off at the lights, handles great, bang it on charge overnight every few days, no worries. Just a bit too pricey for where I’m looking right now, but otherwise I’d go electric tomorrow. ICE tech now is like having a steam engine car in the 1960s.

I was just joshing really, though I think that in 20 years EC tech will be seen for the continuing polluter that it is.

Many ECs tend to be quick off the lights but roll-on, which is where you want it, is another matter for anything.

Anyway, giv'ya a race

I was quite surprised, I test drove a couple of Nissan Leafs when I was looking before and it was like pushing a boat through treacle.

Only way the Zoe would beat that for speed is straight down off a cliff however!

Rambert when Skinner got thrown out the commons for calling him dodgy Dave and there were calls from Corbyn to be sacked for saying his financial affairs needed investigating?

I do not believe Mr Cameron has actually broken any laws by his lobbying has he?

Apparently the type of lobbying he carried out was so unusual that it isn't actually covered by any regulations and so he technically can't break any.

What is clear though is that what he did is very wrong.

Meanwhile, the concern over Cummings and his Handcock mates in ppe procurement has gone very quiet. Cumming's recent performance at the Science and Technology Committee was sickening in his use of blame to deflect the issue. Cnut.

I don't blame you.

Would you prefer Cummings in his dress-down look?

According to YouGov Labour is now 16 points behind the Conservatives in the Midlands/Wales area.

In the North, Labour are 4 points ahead of the Torys.

Yeah, Skinner has been proven right. Heard clips on LBC of Cameron when he was prime Minister talking about making the very shit he's been up to, illegal.

Outside of any shenanigans isn't there a strategic issue here, let alone the threat yet again to a shrinking workforce and their conditions?

Correct, important to keep the steel infrastructure going internally. It's near on impossible to have a small nuclear war.

I was going to say this is unbelievable, but then I realised it's just par for the course these days.

These pricks just take the piss in plain sight and no one bats an eyelid.

I'm no defender of that c**t but the contract was awarded by one of the Welsh health boards, outside of his jurisdiction I think.
