Do you consider us safe? (4 Viewers)

I did wonder how many penalties and own goals we had given away this season in comparison to other teams, and at the other end how many times we hit the woodwork.

We've conceded 10 penalties (all scored), been awarded 3 (all scored).
We've conceded 2 own goals, opponents have conceded 3 against us.
We've hit woodwork 17 times

Thanks Frostie.
It’s fine lines, if half those attempts that hit the woodwork had gone in, we would be a lot healthier position.

No we not safe at all. We need 2 more wins. Minimum 1 win and 2 draws could do it though we may have to rely on others to help our cause.

You think Rotherham (averaging 1.0ppg) are going to get 11pts from their final 7 games, which includes playing 3 of the Top 8?

Stranger things have happened, what’s their best haul this season?
Exactly, we had 13 from 7 games from the run run below and we only average 1.1 point per game so whilst unlikely it is doable for Rotherham to get 11.

Brum D
Cardiff W
Norwich D
Derby D
Rotherham W
Luton D
Wycombe W

Edit: looks like Rotherham managed to pick up 13 in 6 games in January and Feb.

Derby w
Stoke d
Middlesbrough w
Swansea L
Derby W
Preston w

Beat me to it 😊

They'd do amazingly well to replicate that from their remaining fixtures given who they're against &, more importantly, the fixture congestion (they were already complaining about tiredness on Thursday of course).

IF Biamou and O'Hare buried half the sitters they've missed this season we'd be midtable!

If we hadn't given away half of the stupid goals and penalties this season we'd be midtable.

If we'd not missed the sitters AND not given away stupid penalties and defensive errors we'd be in the play-off hunt.

I would like to think we can keep going take points tactically and maybe push away from the bottom 3and finish something like 15th or 16th As even those extra places could help financially But more importantly give our potential talks with Marty James and hopefully osti to show we are a club going in the right direction.

Get a win at Stoke and we can relax and look forward to next season and dream of Jody Jones tormenting west Broms defence at the Ricoh.

Id like to think we're safe now.But football has a habit of throwing up crazy results at this point of the season.

They've just had two games where they've barely mustered a shot on target too. Results don't just turn like that, often teams that start winning games at least show some sign of doing so beforehand.

There has been a bizarre overrating of Rotherham all season on here.

Whenever they got a win or two people were like ‘good result, they’re a decent team, can see them climbing above us soon.’ Yet when we got a victory or two the same people would say it was flukey or because of opposition mistakes.

They're just not very good, hence their position in the league and hence us beating them twice but the way some on here go on about them you'd think they should be challenging the playoffs!

Sounds about the same with us doesn’t it? Win one game and it’s about the playoffs, lose the next and it’s sack robins and life in league one. Rotherham like Wycombe are hard working teams but severely lacked the quality to stay up so absolutely no surprise to see them where they are.

I agree. People kept popping up on here and saying they thought Rotherham would get out of it all and pull clear. They wouldn't go down etc.

It's been puzzling me for weeks.

Forest, Derby, Huddersfield, Birmingham, all seemed to have much better squads.

I know this wasn’t meant to be funny but I’ve been laughing at this for 10 minutes

They have as probably Sheffield Wednesday do too but what Rotherham have is some stability and not changing their manager every season, sometimes 2 or 3 times for some of them, and an injection of 10-15 new players each time. I hope Rotherham stay up and Derby go down as they are all that is wrong with the championship and by getting into massive debt chasing the PL dream. I don't know how Derby and Forest were not docked points like Sheffield Wednesday were and if the rumours are true and Rooney was paid by Bet365 surely that was a breach of player ownership.
