Looking at it ideally a second place finish would be better avoiding the group of death lol I would prefer Spain,Sweden,Slovakia & Poland over France or Portugal, but then again momentum etc etc who knows where we could go I have a good feeling about this group they have an arrogance about them,I like the pairing of rice & Phillips in midfield...shame sheaf isn’t there tho 😎
Disagree, might get an easier R16 game but then it's more difficult going deeper into the tournament.

Keep the momentum up, win all three games then take whoever couldn't win the group of death full of confidence.

come 2nd and Its only an easier last 16 game, after that that side of the draw is brutal.

Come 2nd Away matches vs:

Last 16 V Slovakia/Spain > QF v France > SF v Italy/Belgium

Come 1st home matches:

Last 16 V Portugal/Germany > QF v Slovakia/Spain > SF v Netherlands

both look daunting but I want home advantage and slightly weaker teams

Interested to see how we line up Friday I think I Grealish will come in with Sterling moving to the right,I think mint we will see shaw or Chilwell I don’t think he trusted either of them in a flat 4 against Croatia as much as he does trippier

Well blow me sideways , if we are to win this tournament we really will have to play the best.

I'm still not sure we are going past the round of 16 if I'm entirely honest .. Portugal France or Spain basically

I can't see it- he's still injured and too risky to chuck him in against a team who will be as physical as Scotland will be

I'm not looking forward to either them or France, but as we've all said you have to beat the best teams to win a tournament at some point.

We win the round of 16 match il believe but I'm not holding my breath

I mean they will do well but they arent a patch on France:

Semedo and Patricio off the back of a poor season for wolves

Silva barely plays for City

Pepe is nearly 40 and playing in a league with 3 decent teams

Prems only got 4 decent teams though 🤣

No seriously , it's a pretty good side on paper.
A side that can beat any side on their day

He was out of the team mid season but still ended up playing 45 games, including starts in both legs of CL semi final and then the final

Apparently, Trippier got the nod because of his experience and leadership to protect Mings. Which makes sense because he looked shaky in the warmups alongside Shaw.

Trippier looked good despite the early criticism!

I wouldn’t fancy our defence against Portugal any more than I’d fancy Webster and Seaborne against Kane and Son.
