Started a thread of it's own.

Can see people saying they will be disappointed,

He would be an improvement on Biamou / Baka and potentially in front of Godden I think.

Different player type to Max/Baka. He's more comparable to Godden in that respect.

I think he would be decent. Good set piece delivery, works extremely hard off the ball too. Extensive Champ experience too.

Not sure how I feel about this 31 experienced at the level, decent left foot I think we can trust robins to get some something from him,he’s certainly an upgrade on Baka

Don’t think he’s the type of striker we need. Similar to godden and Walker, finishers who need chances created for them. Need some other options.

Fine with him as a Baka/Biamou replacement, a lot of Championship experience. Would still like us to bring in someone who can challenge to be first choice striker though.

His recent record suggests that hopefully you’re not relying on just him for goals. Would be good to add some experience to the side and would be a clear upgrade on Max, just depends whether he’s prepared to play that backup/support role on a reasonable wage.

Yes tbh im probably Being a little OTT there with my comment,at 31 tho he doesn’t fit the usual model but they
Know experience at the level is needed as James showed when he came.

He doesn’t but we can’t have a team entirely of young prospects.

Who are people expecting us to sign? We've had people moaning about a lack of Championship standard signings and now there's talk of signing someone who, apart from 3 years playing for Rangers, has played his entire career in the Championship he's not good enough.

He has had a decent career in the championship, it seems to be a move away from our transfer model. Had an underwhelming season last year (5 in 32 appearances 2 in the first 3 games, 2 in the final game and jusy 1 in 28 inbetween) but I cant see who better we can attract or afford. I think he had few injury problems last season, hopefully he is over that.

Had a bust up with Rooney which lead to Rooney publically criticising his attitude and commitment. Derby fans reckoned that was out of character for him though.

He always seemed alright to me. I guess he's still young enough not to worry about a drop-off in form too. I wouldn't be disappointed with him.

Might work as a foil for Walker, too?
