Well that’s why I asked. He seems similar to what we’ve got looking at those videos. Short, fox in the box type. Not someone to link play or be a target man when we want to go long. But maybe I’ve got it wrong hence my question.

Can he play with Walker?
I'm no expert on him but from what i saw he was a unit for Leicester and rangers and will get assists too so 2 upfront could work

Wasnt he a regular for lampards derby that got to playoff final? Not 100% sure

he's played on the right a lot so there's more to him than just box play

He'll prob be a starter I would have thought. He's 31 not 41

With walker to improve hopefully puts godden into baka Biamou role which is an upgrade
Ouch! can't agree. hes the Biamou replacement. Will need to come on as sub and hit the ground running with goals to stay in the side. he's 3rd choice or a good option against big teams. Godden will be main striker.

Really pleased with this signing. Solid championship player, loads of experience and if utilised properly and given the service could potentially be 20 goals a season. I would have a good bet he will get to 15.

The club are damned if the do and damned if they don’t when it comes to our fans. People moan when we sign unknowns from abroad, they moan when we sign youngsters from lower leagues, and now they moan when we sign a championship level, proven striker.

Brilliant signing, hopefully the first of a few more.

Godden too slow I think be mains striker but we shall see. Defo has finishing ability but I feel robins is trying to improve every position. Godden has never been seen as better than waghorn any point in his career has he?

Have you never seen him play or something? He's quite a big name .

Yakubu was a big name before we got him. How did that work out for the Sky Blues ? ;)

I'll be honest and say like Shmmeee, I'm not totally convinced he's the sole answer to our goalscoring. But I'm prepared to back him like we all should for anyone who wears the colours.

But if he hasn't scored 20 by the end of September, Grendel will likely be booking the taxi 🤣

Yakubu was older wasnt he and not coming off playing in same league we would be asking him to play?

Also does it really need to keep being said? Mark robins is no Russel slade. Have faith

Law of averages one of the 'bigger' name forward signings has to come off for us sooner or later doesn't it?

Actually thinking about it it's been bloody ages since we signed a striker with a reputation or any sorts.

What happened to Bournemouth way robins mentioned lol

Altho to be fair most tiki taka teams press

As long as we don’t go full Barnsley and play that god awful route one stuff. Though if us signing short forwards has an upside it’s that we aren’t likely to go long.

Not overly enthusiastic about this one, he's looked a bit of a cart horse the few times I've seen him recently.

But as ever I trust in MR and happy for Waghorn to prove me very wrong.
