It's brilliant news, as we have signed someone who actually plays left back for a start and means we wont need to play someone out of position there. He was also linked to better Championship teams, and is clearly in Chelseas plans to get into their first team eventually.

I wasn't aware of any Championship teams linked to him, just Charlton. Who else was linked to him?

I’d like to think we’d get a bit of cash for Allen. Realistically no more than 100-150k but every little helps.

Good thing about Crainie is that he is very versatile and can play anywhere across the back

I really hope it’s temporary, really scraping the barrel now

not a fan of this, was quite decent a couple seasons back but he is well past his prime. we need to be making ambitious signings. has about a 1-2 year shelf life and that’s pushing it. although if it’s for depth i’d take him over Drysdale.
