It's all dynamic depending on how the season goes of course, but I would be really happy with 14th at this moment.

Would be progress for sure but I would see 10-12 as moving forward and higher as a great season.

I'd jump for joy if we got closer to half way up the table this year around but part of me is still fearing a battle at the bottom. Not in the bottom 3 but in the scrap until the final few games.

If anything they're quite a bit worse off.
Most of their best players last season were loans and they're yet to be replaced.

I know we are still short at the back/mid, and that we would love to have another osti and james. But we have learnt how to play this league - Robins has admitted that we adopted the wrong style of play in the first part of the season. Also, we've retained Hamer and Ohare, have made some solid if not spectator additions, hopefully will have Godden (and Kelly) coming back, and will have a 12th man at games. I don't quite get the pessimism (though I'd openly hold my hands up and say I'm not the best judge of these things).
Frankly, can't wait to see Ohare, Bright and Jodi on a tear!

Coventry
Another tricky one up next with Coventry. I was impressed with them for a lot of last season and I wasn't surprised to see them consolidate their place in the Championship with a 16th place finish. Mark Robins continues to do a sterling job with the Sky Blues and they are now in a solid position to build on the fantastic work of the previous two seasons in particular.
It was a positive end to last season for Robins and his team. Things had looked a bit gloomy early in the campaign but they managed to turn things around. They will be hoping to continue that decent form into this campaign. The fans generally feel that a lower mid-table finish is realistic but there are some fears that relegation could be a threat. There have been a number of comings and goings at the Coventry Building Society Arena (new name for the Ricoh Arena) and the players they have brought in do stir excitement. Former Wolves youngster Bright Enobakhare is a talent whilst goalkeeper Simon Moore was very solid for Cardiff during his time with us. Martyn Waghorn has all the Championship experience a manager could wish for. Marco Rus from Southampton, Ben Sheaf from Arsenal, and Viktor Gyokeres from Brighton are all signings that have potential.
I feel Coventry will have no problems staying up this season. Robins had a squad that had proven itself last season and he's strengthened it over the summer. I think the fans' opinion of a 14th - 17th league finish is most likely and unless they hit a particularly rocky period I think an emotional return to their home ground will provide enough motivation and inspiration to keep the players in the Championship.
