How many was that then?
1,993. I could be wrong but on early sales this isn’t going to a massive following. Forest had sold 2k in a day just to their away members

probably get to about 2,500- which is fine, midweek and all that.
Only issue is 2,500 in a 6,000 stand feels a bit ‘lost’

2500 would be good. Slightly more than the last few times we've been.
Would have loved us to have over 3000 but short notice, difficult to get there by rail etc will put some off.
When we played there last, we had about 1800 and it was a brilliant atmosphere. Same when we played in the FA Cup about 7 years ago.
Minimum 2 changes. 3 and a bit hoursWhat’s wrong with the trains?

Anyone know the pub situation there? We get in at 11 wondering where to head
Loads of pubs pal, just go on a pub crawl, theirs over 20 with in the town centre, all less than a 5 minute walk from the train station.

He supports Barnsley. Clue is in his username.

The changes are different to what the cheapest tickets to get actually are, this seems to be the cheapest route (from Nuneaton, anyway). But you actually change at Sheffield and don't go as far as Chapeltown.
It's also cheaper to get a Birmingham - Derby return, than a Nuneaton to Derby return, even if you are getting on the same train at Nuneaton, and travelling less distance.

You’re wasting one of the better away days doing that, get into Barnsley and have 3 and half hours on a pub crawl. If you change in Sheffield go to the Station Tap at Sheffield station and jump on a later train up to Barnsley. Ticket between Sheffield and Barnsley will just be an open ticket.

Barnsley good for a pub crawl is it mate yeah?
You keep saying this though mate but not actually naming anywhere decent. I have have hundreds of pubs by me but would choose to go into about three of them. You’re wasting one of the better away days doing that, get into Barnsley and have 3 and half hours on a pub crawl.

Probably just stay in that Sheffield tap all morning and get to the ground for kick off, in and out job.
He is right though. Easily walkable from the town centre. Loads of pubs. Went into town for the cup tie a few years and had a great day. Can't remember the names of the pubs, I was pissed, but Barnsley is one of the better away days in this league if you're going by train and fancy a few beers. There'll probably be a couple mentioned on footballgroundguide.
Go
Go stand in town centre and look round you’ll see all of them, all decent pubs and prices. They’ll be full from 12 onwards.
And what about on match days?
