Do you want to discuss boring politics? (138 Viewers)

Right now I have a bit more time to respond to this claptrap...

Firstly I am indeed trying to be a bit more mindful and reflect on my own thoughts. I no longer consume news stories designed to annoy me and I pay little to no attention to what lunatics on social media think. Both things you do literally all the time and then post on here, to what end I have no idea?

Who is this 'far right' you speak of for example and why do you care? What are the odd balls on the 'far left' upto? Busy celebrating the death of a good man. Well congratulations Tony, I hope you're happy to be on the side of moral good.

As I've said before, I don't think you're a bad man but you really need to do yourself a favour and leave the politics alone occasionally.

This is what I mean, he's all over the place. Clearly gets super wound up by what he consumes and for now at least that's left wing propaganda, and you better believe he'll just keep beating us over the head with it.

Have we discussed Patels response to this (remove anonymity online)?

Seems mental. It’s the Wank Pass all over again. I don’t understand why it’s so hard for politicians to understand it’s completely impossible to do.

On a scale of 1-10 how much more polite do you think this forum would be though?

I’m not anonymous and it just leads to more personal attacks TBH. People online are mental and will dig through your life and try and contact your work and family because of something you said online.

As I say it’s completely unworkable without shutting off the rest of the net and having some kind of great British Firewall like the Russians and Chinese.

Ah you're probably right, I think it would be more polite in general but the absolute lunatics could literally attempt to ruin your life. Good point.

Plus if people are anonymous, someone being offensive to a random pseudonym is not as offensive as being it to your face.

And Nick will know enough about who most of us are, if it crossed the line to levels where the police would be interested.

Green yes
Tory yes
Was never against the coalition, I actually voted Lib Dem in that general election because a coalition was the outcome I wanted.
Never hated Ed Milliband just never voted for him. Acknowledged he owned Boris when deputising at PMQ’s.
Nobody has excused more Tommy Robinson fan boys on here more than you, most of which ended banned but only after you and them exchanged likes for each other’s posts like kisses to each other.
You accuse others that voted for Nigel Ferage as supporting a racist and then went on to not only vote for Ferage, labelled him the man and made him your avatar.

Tough one isn't it....but surely on twitter, for example, you could make it mandatory to provide a credit card or similar upon account creation....you can still call yourself rimplestiltskin but atleast rimplestiltskin has a trace.....
It would also provide an opportunity for underage accounts to be deleted or overseen by the card holder as guarantor?
Obviously twitter wouldn't like it cos it'd fuck their bottom line...
....if all the above is jibber jabber my excuse is 2 beers and a bottle or pinot noun. Cheers

Full Raab quote.

“We will get into the habit of legislating on a more periodic basis and thinking about the mechanism for that,” he said. “Where there have been judgments that – albeit properly and duly delivered by the courts – we think are wrong, the right thing is for parliament to legislate to correct them.”

Didn’t you vote for brexit, then Ferages brexit party, then Boris and a massive populist majority? You probably shouldn’t go around labelling people stupid when you not only spectacularly fail to understand what populist is you also vote for the “populism of the day”.

Facts can be painful.
What facts? What did you just show me that disproved anything I've said about you. You swallow propaganda like a fat kid swallowing cake.
Regarding the clip... what am I looking at? Was this women attempting to point score following the death of an MP? Should she have balanced her rant with examples of hateful speech from her own party members? I don't understand the rules anymore and I'm not sure you do either.

But then do I want to hand over my card details to somebody? tbh I'm not keen when buying things, but just as ID...?

Maybe we need a national ID card ;)
Get out of town....no I'd cards fuck you very much.

...we could start to treat Facebook and Twitter as publishers.....let them clean their own shitty doorstep

You not heard the tape?
Or the homophobic comments? (Tank top bum boys).
Or the racism (picaninnie smiles).
Or the domestic abuse incident (when he was PM)
But you crack on with your disingenuous outrage . Ignore the next time a Labour MP is the victim and start bumping you gums when it's a tory.

You can have the last word because I didn't want to get drawn into this on the back of a man's murder and have already said more than I wanted to.
This tape?

Sadly I'd have to agree. I don't go out of my way to hide who I am and I've had threats via Facebook related to things I've posted on here.

So she’s lying then. He admits the language in the clip and then dismissed the reaction, much like yourself. What propaganda am I buying exactly when he’s on public record. I’ve not accused him of saying nothing he hasn’t said. She’s talking about her own personal experience from a reaction to what the PM has said. What is it you’re suggesting exactly? I can only see one of two possibilities. Either you’re saying that she and other MP’s including Tories at that time are lying that they’ve received specific threats of violence including rape and murder using Boris’ words of betrayal, surrender etc. Or are you saying Boris has a special privilege that means he’s beyond reproach for his conduct?

Really? I can’t imagine you saying anything to provoke that kind of stuff. Could see some on here attracting that kind of attention, not you though.

I’m not saying you’re boring btw 😁, you don’t seem as obnoxious like some on here though

I can't be bothered with you. I actually think you are slightly mad. As I said, find something else to do occasionally.

Leaving aside the issues with handing my CC details out to a bunch of random sites, the main problem is how would Twitter enforce it? They aren’t going to do it for every country so do you anonymous accts abroad we can’t see or just for British users? If iFollow can’t stop me being Dutch every Saturday afternoon so doubt Twitter can.
