It's going to get messy isn't it? All because this government won't do what's needed until it's too late. Just like they did last year. It's amazing that anyone can defend them when they not only don't learn but they don't even seem to want to.

Jeremy Hunt with interesting comments.
The numbers are likely related to the drop off of Immunity rather than mask's, passport's etc.
Suggests not following a rigid 6 month in booster strategy.

But masks would reduce infection rates and mitigate the lack of immunity until boosters were given.

I don’t understand why we didn’t commit hard to boosters in September. We have the infrastructure and the doses

We have done 2 million apparantly and actually I know a lot who have had them already and I am told I will get mine at 6 months

Volunteers in some areas to administer? No idea?

Knowing how it unfolded last time I’d have gone for less than 6 months considering that additional immunity still takes time to kick in

…if they were the clean, sterile high grade masks used in hospitals and surgeries and disposed of after every use, then possibly.

However are you seriously suggesting that the dirty old germ ridden pieces of cloth worn and re-worn by the majority of mask wearers for days or even weeks on end provide any sort of protection?

Or are they little more than items of virtue signalling.

It's not protection fory ou Ernie, it cuts the risk of you transmitting it to someone else. This was established last year on here.

I see you are that fucking stupid you don't know what the word "unlikely" means. You also don't seem to understand what it means when some passes on something they have heard.

You'd think a man that had a long and successful made up career in marketing would understand whatnot complicated words mean.

Anyway mate I was at the game so why would i post on here during that game?

That'll be about 55,000- 0 to me by now.

This is like the time you got up set because you didn't realise that Cnut and Canute are both accepted spellings/

Still back to the topic at hand

They significantly reduce the amount of moisture particles that go from your mouth to the area that you are occupying and the distance they travel.

Yes washing your mask regularly is a more hygienic choice but even if you don’t, it is still the same physical barrier.

Pretty sure you understand that though, but it’s easier to push the virtue signalling narrative

Did I hear correctly when driving home, the boosters are going to be Pfizer, I assume that means regardless of whether your original jabs were or not?

While I don’t disagree, too many people don’t seem to understand that the non-surgical cloth masks don’t offer proper protection. The FFP2 are ones that are actually most relatable and protect the wearer.

The remaining 5m unvaccinated need to see this graph extrapolated out for the year to date . No brainer
Think there was a post earlier this week with another countries data on that was split out into vaccinated and unvaccinated. Understand we might not have that information for the daily figures but a weekly update along the lines of what percentage of hospitalisations and deaths are unvaccinated would be worthwhile if they're struggling with uptake.

Something is better than nothing. Ideally you'd want a higher standard of masks but given how much difficulty people seem to have with very basic public health information you've got to be careful with how you put things across.

Agreed. They’ll need take into account the percentage of population that’s been vaccinated as well. The data will be there, someone from NHS just needs to crunch the numbers

You talk shite. They even showed a BBC documentary showing people having operations cancelled for the 4th and 5th time for people at UHCW

Don't get all salty because your attempt to get likes off the forums gimp squad backfired so badly n you. Maybe if you weren't so thick you'd understand what words mean.

Better luck next time dwarfy.

Only thing that's injured is your pride and your make believe life.

Cry me a river catweezle everyone is laughing at you.

We should open a thread on words you are too stupid to understand.

We can start with these

Unlikely
Canute
Hygiene
Friends
Reality

You mean the one where the surgeons were basically having to play top trumps with their patients to try and get operating theatre time?
