Stoke/Millwall/Luton attendances (1 Viewer)

Looks like being the lowest home turn out for a good while.

Last weekend before Xmas traditionally sees low attendances. On top of a low overall gate, I can see a lot of season ticket holders giving it a swerve and there will be a lot of empty seats. A bit like Huddersfield yesterday, nothing close to 16K in that ground.

Millwall won't be great either, but Luton should be a very good gate, especially if they bring 4K as I would expect them to.

Why wouldn't you go to a game you've already paid for?

This is surely 'biggest game of the season' territory considering a win puts us in the top 6 at Christmas?

I know a number of people who don't go to every game as season ticket holders. Some like having the seat they want available when they do decided to go. Some are happy to support their team financially even when they can't go. Then there is always the thing of I might only be able to go half the games but it makes sure you get priority for everything else also.

Plenty of reasons to do it tbf!

Im at a loss as to why no one can see why the attendance is going to be shite.

The proof of jab/negative test.

Attendances will be down everywhere.

Whatever side of the fence you're on, telling people you have to be jabbed to go to the football is going to knock thousands off each gate

What makes you think a lot of season ticket holders would “give it a swerve”?
I can’t see why the overwhelming majority of us wouldn’t be there.

When I say 'a lot', I'm not suggesting a majority or anything close to it. I've just being going for a long time and know that traditionally the last home game before Christmas is a shit turnout. Crowds will be down across the country this weekend, but don't ask me to explain it, although I think it's fair to say people aren't generally flush the week before Xmas, and the Cat A pricing bound to be off-putting. I do know a few ST holders not going as well, including a couple going to a Christmas market. Wtf is all that about?

You don't have to be jabbed.

I fall into this category, I’ve missed quite a few home games this season and will miss more. I’ll be there on Saturday though.

I’m not…. Only Saturday I’ll see my family all in one place over Xmas. Lost the mother in law to COVID at the start of January 2021 so the Mrs planted the thought in my head that it might be my Dads last one.
But my ticket has gone to a potential new fan so it’s not wasted. I don’t mind missing a couple during the year….has to be a really good reason for it….family is it this time

It's the 3pm EFL Offering abroad, guess it's another one I won't see on ifollow.
Can't remember the last ifollow game.
Getting ridiculous now for overseas fans. Pay for the season and only about 60% of games available so far.
Getting good at finding good quality illegal streams (as others have said, just because it's available abroad does not mean the country you are in will show it).
If something is paid for, then you should get it. Allow season ticket ifollow holders to see the games, just don't sell one off's for televised ones. Either that or give credits for the following season's games.
Really not on that i like others have a ifollow season pass and only get audio for about 40% of games so far as some channel in Japan want's to show it.
If DAZN Spain etc, show it then that means i have to pay twice to see the same game, how is that legal?
What was the hockey site that streamed the Bournmouth game?

Now I don't agree with this covid pass malarkey.
But what I would say is downloading a QR code or doing a lateral flow test is significantly less hassle than queueing forever to buy an overpriced pint of pre poured piss that you can't pay for with cash and no-one seems to bat an eyelid.

Interestingly, while sales in the corner and JSB section are dreadful, the telegraph isn't too bad.

Are people moving there with hope of smaller queues or more room to social distance?

17.1 million unjabbed in this country. Don’t play the game. My season is over.

The ticket sales are the lowest I've seen for this stage of a home game so far .

I'm sure coventry and Birmingham at one point had some of the lowest 18 to 34 year old vaccine uptake .. could be wrong , but it's definitely going to impact

By an absolute mile as well. It's not even a slight drop, we are talking thousands down. Significantly lower than the Tuesday night fixtures too.

The Saturday before Xmas was always likely to be affected regardless of Cov-id. The extra 'fear' of this variant, and perceived hassle of taking a LFT (some of our older fans have probably rarely, if ever, taken a LFT, not tech savvy (my son laughs at me!) will have knocked a few thousand off the gate. I am in two minds, purely as I don't want to endanger my stepfather attending our house for Xmas day - we lost my mum to cancer last Xmas, and he relies on us for any companionship.. Will probably go, but with a few tweaks to my normal habits. Travel /no concourse. tie a knot in it (I wish!) etc etc.

I’m not I’m afraid. Done 6 home and 2 away this season. I knew this was coming so tried to fit in as many as I could get to before it was curtailed.
Is it the showing your papers thing? If so I get that but I'd personally rather take an LFT than miss the game . Or get someone else to do one for you . No one will ever know . It's all bull shit
