Depends on your definition of "sitter" I suppose. In my opinion, no & statistically is converted less than 50% of the time.

Where I was behind the goal it didn't look a sitter from the way he came in and the replay suggests that it was more difficult than people think ..

Some will say its a sitter anyway

A player of his talent in the centre of the goal 6 yds out. I mean you have too hit the target at the very least. If the keeper gets lucky and it hits him fair enough but too miss the target from inside the 6 yard box is poor by anyone's standard. It's not the first time either. The miss against Birmingham was even worse. He brings so much too the team but gets white line fever when it comes to the final pass or shot.

He slid In got a foot to it and it hit the post , not a terrible miss in my book , felt he was unlucky with it . Like Allen was unlucky when he hit the post from the free kick , just one of them

I’m with you on this. Very hard to control a shot on the slide like that. I’ve seen a lot worse misses

Problem is he's scored just 2 goals in his last 62 games, extremely poor return for an attacking midfielder/number 10. His legs turn to jelly when he gets anywhere near thr 18 yard box. At this level, you'd expect a forward to hit the target from there. More worrying was at 0-0 clean through he opted to play a poor pass to Godden rather than shoot. He is devoid of any confidence when it comes to shooting.

Never got the questions over Godden. Hes clearly a great player for us. Not generational but quality for us. You can't argue with his record here.

Hes 100% good enough for the Championship...for anyone to query otherwise is just weird.

Thought O'hare looked more composed in front of goal today and feel like they will start to come soon. When they do he likely won't be with us for much longer. Last bit of his game to improve.

He did the same against Fulham but it worked, a nice pass for gyokeres to tap in if you remember. Can look at it two ways, great awareness and composure or he was worried about missing so passed the responsibility on.

Yesterday's miss is either bad luck or a shite miss, depends what your view on o hare is

It's not unlucky, it's a bad miss. The ball to him was perfect, it just needed to be tapped in.

Hardly clueless, just not going to sit and baby players like some seem to want to.

He was running in and had to stretch on the slide to reach the ball while under pressure from the defender. It's a bit of a lottery in those cases about the contact you get on the ball. It wasn't exactly a tap-in and he's missed much, much easier chances than that.

Allen's I'll give the credit to the keeper.

Run at pace and have someone throw a ball in front of you quickly so you have to lunge to reach it. See how many times you get it on target. You see players at top teams missing those.

I agree O'Hare often makes poor decisions with the final ball and his shooting is terrible but in this instance it's a bit pot luck.

I’m really impressed by Gyo putting the team first for the last goal. You could forgive him attempting the more difficult shot given where he was and the goal drought he’s on but he picked Godden out instead. Great work.

They looked like a decent partnership that second half to be fair

Overall it was a great bit of work from him, from the right hand side too, quite rare I think.
Beatiful weight on the pass.

The problem is, people have their excuses lined up for O'Hare before each game has even kicked off.

I really like him, and he also seems to have his head pretty screwed on. I w
desperately want him to do well, but let's be honest. His finishing and end product is really poor, even embarrasing at times.

I know he seems to get a pass on it as his overall contribution in a game is decent, but it really needs to be addressed. He will not sustain an attacking midfield role for the whole of his career at this level with this current rate of return. That being said though, if something can be done about it he will be far too good for even the championship.

I would suggest he may need to see a sports psychologist if kicking balls at practice with Godden doesn't work. Seems to largely be in his head.

Anyone see Minamino against Arsenal in the week.
An easier chance than any of the ones CoH has missed and he's an International , Premier league player
Go figure eh?

Does he do it multiple times every game?

Shame shit we had when Burge would be dropping multiple clangers every week it was OK because a PL keeper would do one once a season.

O'Hare is a brilliant player but his end product is beyond poor. When he has the ball in the opposition box I mentally check out and await the goal kick/look at our shape in case a break is on.

He's cracking mate

30 league goals in 66 league games for us.. basically 1 in 2 .

And he wasn't even fully fit last season

Delving deeper into this...off the top of my head cant think of any recent history coventry player having a better goals scoring ratio than this....over more than one season ie 50 plus games.
