I was in block 25 today. Didn't see any of it.

Saw some the other night but I think the steward at the top of the stairs was otherwise engaged and the lads just bumbled up.

The cocaine in the toilets thing is more worrying. Couple of lads today doing it without bothering to go into a cubicle. Kids around too.

Not a nice look.

Had one guy by us in block 24 try and bring a pint up with him, had it in his hand with his cap 🧢 over it, Steward clocked it and came and asked him to go back down , he then tried to come back up about a minute later hiding it again and was told to go back down the stairs to the concourse. He looked a bit of a scumbag tbf.

Baffling how people can’t go 45 minutes without having a beer?? If you wanna drink from morning till night time then stay down the pub and do it. Leave the football to the people who actually want to watch the game and not spend their time surrounded by coked up pissed up dick heads.

Group of guys in front of me arrived at about 15 minutes, left on 38 minutes and didn't return until 60 minutes and left for good after their goal. I wonder why some people bother coming to the match. They might as well have stayed in the pub.

This seems to be becoming more and more of a thing unfortunately. I was having a quiet pint in Stockport high street one Sat evening a few weeks back; big airy pub right opposite the town hall. Walked into the gents and there are two lads, probably late 20s/early 30s casually sorting each other out with little bags of powder. Never seen that in 20+ years of pub drinking.

What's the reason we're seeing such an uptick in illicit drug use? As someone who's never even smoked a joint (sad I know) I just don't get it.

There’s three chaps that sit on our who left early again, effing and blinding at the players. They must have missed the last three last minute/stoppage time goals. People don’t learn do they?

Price and availability…. It’s readily available and it’s cheap. It seems to have become the norm as part of a night out….

Maybe get some coppers do something actually useful and force them to be more discrete.

Again, the lack of punctuation and basic grammar is appalling to me.

Have you been on the chisel?

Are you suggesting that fans who object to open drug consumption at games should take matters into their own hands as "have a go hero" stewards?

Quite the opposite. A stewards job is to steward (the clue is in the name). A fan's 'job' is to be fanatical.

My point was that nobby @cc84cov was blaming poorly paid and poorly trained stewards for their lack of excellent matchday experience.

It's not the stewards's fault.

@cc84cov is an idiot. I called him out on his idiocy and he's got the hump.

Idiots will be idiots. Plus ca change.

Well given that it's technically a crime and we have a saturation of police officers not doing an awful lot perhaps they could earn some of their overtime pay chucking out the coked up contingent

I blame stewards for allowing drinking smoking weed sniffing coke etc in front of kids in the ground and toilets

How do you see that as an issue ? Who’s the idiot here ? Your making yourself look a complete fool

It seems @JAM See has an issue with me calling out security that allow drinking in stands and drug taking in stands and toilets in-front of kids

Nonce

You're not your.

You won't be missed from block 14.

Enjoy your time in the lounges next season.

This might be one for the upcoming supporters meeting as if the stewards have been told its not their job to do anything about fans drinking, smoking or openly doing drugs then presumably its down to the police so we need some feedback from them as to why its being ignored.

Someone isn't doing their job. Not like its one or two people doing their best to hide it. If something isn't done its only going to get worse and before you know it people will stay away as they don't want their kids exposed to that.

I find it staggering you think the carry on is ok but then again I doubt you go to games judging by some of the stuff you post

Doing drugs in a public place, smoking in a no smoking area, generally anti social behaviour etc is the remit of police in my book, and what they should be there for. Stewards should be there to help people find their seat and prevent people from getting onto the pitch, at most.

So in your view whose responsibility is it to prevent drinking in stands / drug abuse in the ground? Not stewards, not fans.....?

My point is that (and I agree with @chiefdave on this) the problem isn't with the stewards, it's with the fans and by extension the wider public.

Having a go at stewards for people taking drugs in a football stadium is somewhat missing the point.

Surely we can agree on that?
