8tg in the form table. Last 6 we've won 3 and drawn 2. Probably need to take it up a notch but form isn't exactly bad.

yeh that’s fair but I wouldn’t have called any of the 3 wins convincing could have easily gone against us. Ok so maybe I’m just trying to keep my expectations down 😀

Great point, a frustrating performance from us. Thought PNE were unlucky really as they edged the game. Their number 11 looked decent. Evans is a decent hold up player up top also. As MR said the pitch invasions are completely embarrassing… dickheads. But if the PNE want to blame them for our goal then they’re deluded.

Tavares goal was awesome and hopefully we’ll see more but let’s not expect the world from him. Sheaf and Moore played really well. Actually thought Dabo looked good when he came on. Felt for him for the pen.

He clearly stumbled. More a case of being clumsy than stupid.

They said in Sky he was a bit unlucky. It was a pen though.

Ryan Lowes comments on the added time is another example of ex- players not knowing the rules. Six minutes was the minimum to be played. Within that six minutes he made two substitutions and we made one. That along with Ched Evans slow walk off led to the additional time. One of the few things Keith Stroud got right!

It was outside the box. Red card yes penalty no.

The Contact at the point he gave the penalty was well inside the box - he fell into him

Just watched Quest and the first contact looked to be just on the edge of the box, but without var Stroud was always giving a pen. Dabo stumbled and fell into the guy didn’t look like any intent so how did double jeopardy not apply. Maybe an appeal would be valid

That only applies for a challenge for the ball not bundling into someone

It was 100% a red card just not a penalty

It wasnt. The guy fell from the initial contact outside of the box.

can’t see that at all when he falls his yards in and that’s the point when his arm is in him - I don’t really think it’s a red either as he was moving away from goal

Dabo defending was hopeless he made yards on him to get past him

Difficult one. Seemed more a tangle of legs than a deliberate trip but don’t know how that plays with the laws. Friend who is a referee (and not a Cov fan) said pen and yellow.

Plenty of bitter as fuck Preston fans going on about the pitch invaders adding extra time, dozy twats don’t realise it was before the 6 mins board went up. Only one sensible bloke saying it was their own fault with time wasting and Evans fucking about going off and 3 subs made in extra time.

Just like Reading really, and they could have no complaints either.

Having watched it again i think the red is harsh, the Preston player plays the ball away from goal before Dabo falls on him, shame as it was good to have him back in the squad.

Initial contact is outside but continues into the box, clear penalty. Absolutely no attempt to play the ball, clear red card.

I'm certain that the 'stumble' from Dabo is him trying to make it look accidental tbh.

Can’t believe how many fouls they committed, only 20 given but surely double that in the game, they rotated fouling Cal but 2 should have been sent off, absolutely cynical non football. I couldn’t stomach watching that shit every week

Penalty / Sending Off :: Concerned it was only Hamer getting into the referee face .....Man United would have had the whole side there shouting at the guy telling him what decision to make

Needless too as they also have some skilful players and don’t need to resort to that. That said, we don’t have any means to fight back against it physically

To be fair, on the Preston forum, a number of fans saying that the ‘invasion’ happened before the board went up, and so was accounted for in the time added. Other posters saying it was their own fault for the time taken over substitutions, one saying he thought the Preston players substituted had lost the use of their legs, it took them so long to get off the pitch. Another poster stating that he’d never seen his team play so cynically over the 90 minutes. So, as with our forum, there are fans who don’t always see the game through rose coloured specs.

hamer was already booked I don’t think the referee is changing his mind it’s a grey area on reds now but really the main concern is how he managed to sprint past Dabo having given Dabo a massive head start Dabo makes Greg downes look pacy
