Cant believe the ratings for Waghorn I thought he was awful and can't remember a single decent thing he did. In fact the front three were abysmal. Tbh everyone calling for Ohare on the radio, for me it was Sheaf we missed most. Allen could've been in behind the front 2. Hamer was stand out player and I actually thought Maatsen was ok too despite the low scores on here.

And for all his endeavor , vik misses a large amount of relatively simple chances... yes he's scored 12 , but his conversion rate is 17% according to sqwawka ... you'd like to see him improve on this next year

I know o hare has worse but he gets pelters by a few on here , vik gets away with it

Spot on. He's missed a lot of good chances in the last few months

Not this season he hasn't mate

He has. He’s been in form recently and really come on but still has the ability to lose the ball in dangerous areas, still plays people on, and still looks like a rabbit in headlights when someone runs at him.

The whole back line needs looking at TBH.

Hyams had a very good season to be fair .. just won a player of the month award too.

Superior to rose defensively

Hes been excellent the last few months. Still think we need better across the board. Todays goal was poor but we’ve let in poor goals all season.

MR has just said Jamie Allen was phenomenal...
To be fair he's not going to say he wasn’t very good and didn't do anything of note BUT he was probably our best passer tonight.. I can't remember him giving the ball away but he probably did

Thats because he never does anything with it. He’s best breaking forward, but he’s never going to unlock a defence.

I sat behind the goal tonight rather than our usual spot in block 18, feel like I got a different (and apparently incorrect) perspective. Thought Maatsen and Gyokeres were our best players, realise this goes against the majority so imagine I am wrong. Thought Waghorn was perfectly fine. Not sure why the negative marks. Allen was totally anonymous, feel like I could have played there and no one would have noticed. Hamer did some stuff well but also felt like he was trying too much as he was the only one doing anything from midfield. Feel like they shouldn’t have scored from that angle.

Also Godden offered absolutely nothing.

Sparks thinks Gyo is a better finisher than Godden

Thought Waghorn was fine tonight, linked play well but his card's already marked (like many before him) & our 'supporters' are absolutely laying into him with vile abuse on social media & tagging him in it too.

I really do despise our fanbase at times.

Thought the atmosphere in the ground got quite negative. But that might just be biased by the bloke behind me. Still think Waghorn was poor though. Just didn’t look fit.

Five out of ten all round possibly 5.5 for Hamer & JCS Luton no better but for mistake by Rose almost certainly a 0-0. Poor match.

I didn't think Waghorn was bad, just breakdown in communication between some of his play and as some have said he's on some of the boo boys list so naturally going to come across worse than anyone else.

You could see him putting his arm up wanting the ball, probably a confidence thing, if he makes a good pass with fans clapping makes him feel better. Some around me last night sarcastically cheers when he went off, shocking

Majority of players were equal or worse. FP's ratings second post in are spot on

Anyone who gave waghorn higher than a 4 needs to have a word with themselves. An experiment that didn’t work. Took any pace / fluidity out of our forward play every time he got the ball. We attack at pace and it’s crucial that the player in the 10 drives at their back 4, he looked like he was carrying a house on his back

Hamer - MOM and Vik had some flashes of great hold up play although didn’t really look like scoring. Apart from that mainly average, with a couple of poor performances chucked in

We controlled the game well until their goal, which was poor. Thought Rose looked shaky on a few occasions (not just goal) and JCS who Im a fan of, also wasn’t as solid as usual. I generally think we look better with Hyam, Fadz and JCS as back three

Didn’t really create enough and front line looked a bit one paced until Ohare and Taveres introduced, with everything played in front of Luton for a lot of the game. I didn’t mind the three forward gamble prior to kick off….worth a crack. Pains me to say it as Jones winds me up but they were set up well for an away team and did a bit of a job on us even though some of their play was awful. Hard to break down and didn’t give many chances away apart from ohare at the end, Goddens in first minute and Viks first half (when Hamer should’ve shot)

Not getting an AM/attacker with pace in Jan has cost us.

Edit - not sure if this has been mentioned but a mate told me Luton have won something like 15 out of 16 where they have taken the lead and 7 out of 7 away…so moral of the story…don’t give them a fucking goal head start !!!

Tbf I agree with him. We all see differrent things grom different angles, upu thought Maatsen was awful, I think he was far more positive and created more than Waghorn even his LB back role. That said, Waghorn doesn't deserve abuse here or on other platforms and I blame Robins for the selection not the players. If his strike partners had taken any of the great chances provided albeit not by him, then we wouldn't be discussing it.

Generally don’t mind Waghorn but thought his first half performance yesterday was pathetic. Given the system we play, it’s imperative that whoever is operating in that #10 position moves laterally to link play between wing back, midfielder and striker. Far too often he was on the opposite side of the pitch ambling around, almost like he was playing up top as well as the other 2. Also a real lack of drive when space opened up - I appreciate he’s not the quickest any more but at least look to commit a defender and create space elsewhere. There was a couple of minutes where I noticed him standing behind opposition players and essentially hiding from play, that was very disappointing.

Second half he did pick up a bit, but there were also times I felt a bit sorry for him as most of what he was trying just didn’t come off. His confidence is shot to shit.

Don't think Waghorn will ever win some supporters round now regardless. Offered more than Godden last night, and in hindsight think it would have been better to keep him on and sub Godden for O'Hare.
Both of them look like they're running through treacle at times though. Desperately need a bit more pace up front

Hamer as mom by most, when he gave the ball away countless times last night, shows where a lot of the problems lie. He was one of many who did that. So many passes going straight to the opposition frustrated the hell out of me Last night.

having said that, if we had strikers that could convert a higher % of chances, we would have won.

Kane should have run toward Adebayo instead of angling to get into the box and it would have made life a bit more dificult! Moore should never have let that ball go across him into the net!
