Been out of hospital 2 weeks. Getting ready for my first lot of physio for 1.30pm and the missus has a stroke at 1.00pm. Jeez! I can barely walk and now stuck doing everything coz she's in Queen Elizabeth hospital having treatment. Phoned to check on her this evening and surgery went well but no beds back at Worcester Royal so gawd knows how long she'll be in. Just bloody struggling to cope at the moment. Thank god for some great neighbours.

Hope all goes well for both of you. Once your girl is back home at least now you can be running around looking after her!

Sorry to hear that H. You're not having much luck at the moment. Fingers crossed for a speedy recovery for both of you.

Her daughter got on a train today from Cov to the Q. E. and dropped off a few things for her. Wasn't allowed in but they take stuff up to the patients. She'd bought a cheap mobile phone from Argos with a PAYG sim. Been trying to phone all afternoon with no answer. Goes to voicemail. I was wondering if she can even talk properly, or even know how to use the phone. The stroke has affected the left hand side of her body as well, so she'd struggle to operate it. Tried phoning the ward a few times but no answer. I don't even know if she's still in Q.E. or has been transfered back to Worcester Royal? All very worrying and frustrating.

Ah sorry Houch .
Must be very unnerving.

You got anyone from family who can spend some time with you .
Not here Wingy. My eldest daughter said she'll come and stay if I needed her to, but I'm an independent old sod!

Easier said than done not to worry, but she may not even have a signal. I'd try talking to someone on the ward and, if she's up to talking to you, try and get the number of the landline by her bed. It'll be free to call that from your landline (if you have one!).

Anyway, I hope she's OK. So much harder when you can't visit, isn't it.
