Decent race that. Max has put himself back in contention . Good to see vettel scoring points - although as some have alluded to I can’t see him carrying on past this year

I have to disagree, that was (IMO) the worst race of the season. No DRS until 30+ laps of a 63 lap race. Only late on did that race get interesting, I wonder how costly that Leclerc mistake will be at the end of the season.
got to agree. DRS delay was a factor plus running so long on intermediates for rain that never came. Even though cars can follow so much closer DRS trains still hinder overtaking on so many circuits
probably lowest overtaking race of the season? Plus highlights for all the talk of a more competitive season due to rule changes etc. top 2 teams way ahead of everybody else as usual (albeit Ferrari instead of Mercedes this season).

Agreed it was worst of the season , but if that race happened in , say 2020, it would be classed a good race and it reflects how much the racing has improved

That car might just be the greatest out of the box ever. Still no upgrades from Barcelona testing

Brawn was the best out of the box car I've seen racing. Ridiculous what that car did under the circumstances. Was telling by the end of the season though as other teams caught up with them in development and JB's race wins really dropped off.

Imola was an absolute borefest. Pleased for Norris to get the podium. Expecting the RB engine to pop next race as it was reliable this race :D

Track doesnt seem too bad at Miami tbf decent layout.

Track seems to be crumbling at turns 17 and 17 already though 🤔

Layout looks a challenge, very low grip so far. Someone's going to push too hard and bin it into a wall during Qualy through some of those tight corners.

Max fucked it.

Great to see both Ferraris on the front row.

I hope Carlos wins tomorrow, think having a front running car is causing a mind block

He needed a clean qualy desperately. I think he's genuinely been pushing too hard at timesbecause he knows Ferrari will throw their full weight behind Leclerc if he falls too far behind.

I'm not sure how the race is going to go. It's either going to be absolute chaos with lots of safety cars, maybe a red flag or two, or it's going to be a case of everyone playing it safe because there's zero grip offline and it's better not to risk it.

Hopefully the former. Will be interesting to see if max goes for it as he needs to regain the points deficit or if he hangs back and settles for 2nd or 3rd. I’ve got a feeling last year and before he would’ve gone for it but now may play it safe

I think it might be a long race….

Mercedes genuinely seem like they've finally got it together.

Miami was a new track for everyone

To be fast here shows way more

I got my hopes up last time we'd have a three team fight.... I refuse to be excited until after qualifying! But, it does look better here than it has done. They say they've found some answers about the porpoising.

Looks like we might just have 3 teams in the fight this weekend. Ferrari probably favourite for pole, but with pretty poor race pace. Red Bull and Mercedes both had faster race runs.

I dont blame him, its a fucking carbon copy. Twice they've done that now, as Racing Point they copied the Mercedes W10 aswell
He’s just been given a world championship as compensation…. 😁

Red Bull have taken a lot of staff from Mercedes and lost some to Aston Martin. Would be naive to think Red bull haven't discussed Mercedes plans, ideas with these new employees -aston Martin similarly. Ideas and information must move between teams with personnel changes regardless of gardening leaves etc.

Wasn't Hamilton something like 50 seconds off the lead and 45 seconds off Russell after the 1st lap? One heck of a comeback, this. That Merc actually looks quick in a straight line for the first time this season. Verstappen losing 10 seconds in the gravel and winning by 20 seconds isn't a shabby effort either.
