And we get a player who hasn’t really played last couple of years for much higher wages… great!

You are moaning already about a player who hasn't even signed let alone played for us. When will our fans learn.
Not only that but you are upset we haven't signed a kid that's played 2 games is it? Admittedly he's got a lot of talent but it's an odd comment nonetheless 😂 and the lads probably on similar wages to Palmer at that!

Apologies for not getting excited about a player Bristol can’t wait to wash their hands of and don’t want to play

Apologies for being more excited about a young prospect who has a lot of hype behind them. There is no way they are on similar wages.

‘When will our fans learn’… look where that got us on the last player a club wanted to wash their hands of… Kane looks to be shipped out after half a season.

Bright, no club wanted him and we took a gamble and once again look where that got us

Ronan Curtis expected to leave Pompey and Hibs are the favourites to get him, feel like he’s better than that. I’ve always rated him but he doesn’t really fit our system.

Feels like he’s been around League 1 forever and no one’s made a serious move for him, probably his level

You realise that 90% of players we sign are players other clubs want rid of?

Well considering Eric Garcia who left man city after refusing to sign from his original contract was leaked to be on £10k a week I feel like that's a good starting point? McAtee signed a new 4 year contract in January it safe to say it's probably slightly more than 10k? Doubt we will be paying Palmer significantly more than that. Unless you know something I don't on that front of course, but would be 100% in agreement if we were as making Palmer the highest paid player by far at the club would be crazy!

We also signed Gyo who is now worth loads more, Sheaf has been a success, Maatsen and JCS were improvements, but sure focus on Bright. Idiot

Palmer rejected £12k at Cardiff.
I believe better days said O’Hare & Hamers wages last year were increased to something we can’t really afford to have both of them on, so you’d assume they are on somewhere around £15k a week

Brighton and Arsenal didn’t want to wash their hands of them though were they?

Yeah okay Gyo’s Swansea loan wasn’t the best and to be honest I admit I wasn’t so excited when we signed him permanently for £1m as his loan the season before with us he wasn’t pulling up trees but I’ve been proved wrong on that one, he was adored at that German club he was at with Ostigard, once again didn’t want to ‘wash their hands of him’ but yeah Swansea didn’t rate him.

Sheaf was a present figure at Doncaster and they liked him, they didn’t want to ‘wash their hands of him’ and he played a full season for them unlike Palmer.

What a load of nonsense. I’ll trust the manager that has got it right far more often than he’s got it wrong.

Exactly right, whatever Robins decides will be best for the club not what we decide, we can choose what we would like to see but thats only speculation or wishful thinking not necessarily realistic

Did you go to either?
@Skybluebeliever any idea how many we will get in this week? Assuming Palmer will be done
Palmer is done it’s just getting everything lined up with holidays etc
JCS I think is nearly there but not finalised
Everyone back 27th June so would expect things to move towards end of this week into next week
Expect a couple of younger players to come in
Young centre forward being pursued also
So would expect Palmer, JCS and one other to be 3 main transfers with perhaps a couple of fringe players
Still think Hamer will go but this could be end of July
Waghorn , Walker and Kane they are looking to get out on loan but not easy to get any takers at the moment

He's a floof and utterly clueless

We are signing a very skilful player who has the potential to be just what need in midfield, a player that is creative and could help us unlock defences that sit in against us. He'll be our player and so what if he didn't fit in with that weirdo Pearson's plans to reunite the Leicester old boys.

He's saying we should be loaning a highly rated but unproven player that has a handful of minutes in mens football and will be a most here for 1 season.

Nobody in at LWB?

Think that'll come later and be a loan

Fair enough, but really looks like we’re starting light again. Ignoring any Hamer departure on top of that upgrades are needed at CB and for depth beyond Hamer and Sheaf. If we’re really scrambling already to offload Kane then we’re also short at RWB.

Trust there is a plan

if and it’s a big if we didn’t lose Hamer or Gyokeres and we managed to sign JCS and Palmer that’s a really strong starting 11 with a few options off the bench. Few good loans and back up options id be really confident.

Sounds promising. Have always thought we'd get JCS. Even this two horse race talk sounds like agent talk just trying to squeeze the last pound out of us in his deal. Personally think we have to accept Vik and Hamer will go at some stage and we need this in order to strengthen the wider squad. A Hamer sale could allow us to bring in possibly another two, three or four players I think.

Is Kelly staying now then? I’m sure someone said we were trying to offload him at one point

I think the loan market will be more crucial this season, if we get JCS & Palmer plus one other permanent perhaps a CB I’d be happy with that and add quality loans I reckon our squad as it stands would be stronger than last season, would be gutted if either Gyorkeres or Hamer go, they fit our system which works, no guarantees replacements will.

I hear we’re going to sign Yan Dhanda and announce him at the same time as JCS.

(this was a dream I’ve just had. Bit weird)
