Wise was successful in all of his managerial jobs - with AND without Poyet.
What does he do now? Is he still twiddling his thumbs at Newcastle? 40 application apparently.
Which club was he without Poyet?
So 3 relatively high profile managers have applied at this level.
Where are all the people who post on here who have always said no one would want the job?
:thinking about::thinking about:
Wise being among the applicants is also on the front page of the BBC website. We'd get more attention with him in...not that that should be a high priority at all. Just an observation.
We need a manager that will stamp his authority on the team and get us playing for one another. The crazy gang mentality Wise shared at Wimbledon is exactly the type of thing we need. We have young creative players that will benefit from Wise's experience. Good choice in my opinion.
Obviously was struggling to keep the bread on the table for his family so had to get a higher paid job... What a man!Dennis Wise...Left a managers position at a big club to be a glorified scout at Newcastle.
Isn't Wise a 'hoofball' manager?
As long as whoever we appoint is a winning manager who cares what playing style he adopts?
If we really want to look at the ex-player route then I would much prefer Liam Daish who has done a cracking job at Gravesend/Ebbsfleet including an FA trophy win and a couple of promotions.
Wise is clearly the fans favourite and i think he is a very capable manager as well as being well known. We need someone who can gee the team up and not be afriad of pissing people off if they are not performing. This appointment will bring another 2K back on the attendance at least also help us attract better players.
Lets hope the 'Dennis Wise Sky Blue Army' chants start tonight to let SISU know who we want!!
Totally agree never have we had a better time to rebuild this club than now. Appoint Wise and attendance figure will defiantly rise. He is already a fans favourite and would be given time to get it right. The team needs a rocket up it's "arris" dam sharpish. Wise would bring this along with an instant increase in attendances.
7 years there, now a full time squad and now only two divisions below usTo much of a risk, give a few years, maybe (if he is managing in the FL)

Wise now backed in to 10/3 with SkyBet. Cmon, we can win this...
He left Newcastle ages ago, keep up.
