Any think it's very unprofessional? Leak in the camp (3 Viewers)

Hi all,

Does anyone not think with multiple ITK's that this is extremely unprofessional by the club and should be investigated?

The information they know on transfers etc. wouldn't be privy to players and therefore it is coming from someone close to the club.

From a serious point - It's extremely unhelpful for the club and players for leaks on dressing room unrest i.e. Todd Kane, to be made public knowledge - and absolutely helps no one - especially if there are any safeguarding issues or concerns re. players.

From a lesser point, it takes out general fun from the unknown, but it's not known whether this has cost the club on transfer targets etc.

I think someone in the club needs to keep their mouth shut a bit.

Most of it's pretty harmless and couched in nothing, really.

Kane is a fair point, hadn't thought of that. Guess we'd have never known without any kind of input.

The Kane stuff could just have easily been revealed by a disgruntled partner (or ex-partner)

Have to disagree. The ITK’s on here are very careful as to which matters and the depth of information they release. For me, it allows us to have more of an insight as to where the club are, and what we can anticipate in the window in the short term.

I’m terms of the Kane situation, if we hadn’t been informed as to the general jist of his situation, I’m sure the rumours of him shagging half of the first team’s wives at a wedding would’ve escalated significantly, into perhaps something even more ludicrous.

Long may it continue (although I really want to know who they are 😀)

Also, the cynic in me thinks the club may actually want some things leaked…not suggesting believer or whoever else may be SISU plants!

Aha and the ITKs were quick to shut down the usual nonsense around the reason for Kane’s isolation in the squad. Without their input the “he shagged someone’s partner at a wedding” guff would have been passed off as gospel truth on the basis that Jim the Gateman told someone’s mate’s barber.
We'd have never known he was isolated from the squad in the first place, mind, as he was soon returned to the fold!

Who has said the Kane stuff has anything to do with a partner, though?
I didn’t - just making the point it could just as easily be leaked by a random without it being a ‘mole’ destroying the integrity of the squad.

One of the ITKs appeared after the club hired someone to work on their social media presence.

The conspiracy theorist in me thinks they’re agreeing what to release to massage opinion.

For instance we’re all expecting a sale of Hamer now so there will be less outcry when he’s sold. Or that we don’t have much budget so you get people arguing that it’s expected instead of going mental when the window closes and we’ve got the same team.

Which one? The club have had social media people for as long as I remember.

There are a huge number of potential people who will have some inside knowledge.

Management & coaches down to the youth coaches.

Office staff, finance staff, kitmen, etc.

Players, their other halves, their agents will all have some inside knowledge.

With such a huge number of people there will inevitably be some inside info leaked - some will know more than others.

It might be that some info is leaked on purpose to quash unhelpful rumours (eg Kane) that might have detrimental impact.

The 2/3 ITK’s on here probably know a lot more than they let on and choose to be fairly guarded and balanced.

Who's mum was it who went mad about somebody saying stuff back in the day? Was it Ben Stevenson?

I would say it's very useful for the club to have forum members with inside knowledge, who are trusted and able to shut down any false rumours etc. and also to keep interest going without giving too much away. Only yesterday we had a poster (I assume, from subsequent posts) falsely claiming our latest signing was long term injured.

Maybe, although it was fairly common knowledge that he & Walker returned for testing with the U23s rather than the first team as both were seen.

Same poster suggested Kane was shitting in people's shoes at paintballing. I think you might be taking it a bit too seriously mate.
