Hmm, we needed two CBs this summer but would have preferred one of them to be a permanent signing. Will be some work to do again next year when we’ll likely have to sign three.
Yeah but we'll have £100M+ in PL transfer money to spend then.

Seriously though, we have choices now at the back should Bidwell and others struggle or get crocked. This lad may surprise us and we have to start somewhere.

Hmm... Good luck to him but again doesn't feel like he's anywhere near the experience and quality of JCS.

He also has 17 appearances in the Belgium pro league , which granted is SPL territory

Am I missing that JCS was an experienced championship player? Yet ligue 1 isn't enough?

I'll give him a few games to compare him to JCS.
Have a look at last season. Panzo didn't make a single appearance for Dijon in Ligue 2 last season before moving to Forest which he made just 1 league appearance

We're allowed to feel a bit underwhelmed. Hopefully he will be brilliant, but jm disappointed that in our third season in the championship we have signed just 1 proven player and signed 2 young loanees that will go back to their clubs in the summer.

I'd have been happier if it was on a permanent signing not a loan.

In the friendly against us, he looked pacey and comfortable on the ball. Great to have a versatile and quick defender. Even the best defenders in the world were inexperienced at some point in their careers.

They have B teams over there who play in the league system, guess he meant that
True, although that's the equivalent of non league in England.

Ligue 1
Ligue 2
Championnat National
*Championnat National 2 (4x leagues of 16)

Few Forest fans think highly of him.

We’re blessed here really with how strong our league system is, majority of clubs in the NL are full time now

I think it's a decent signing.
Adds much needed depth to the backline. I'm not worried about Bidwell, he will play most of the games at LWB and I think Doyle may fill in on occasion.
Judging by preseason MR May even dabble with a back 4 for some games. You could see Panzo LCB & Doyle LB then?
Agree he's had 40/50 games between Ligue 1 and Belgian Pro which is equal to starts at our level.
Trust the process. We are building but it will take a while.

Not so sure on this one. But in Robins we trust.
I'm still hoping Maatsen will come on loan again as he stayed behind while Chelsea went touring. He needs a club and regular footy. Surely we are the best option for another season loan?

There will be a fair bit of rotation with fixture congestion.

Doyle and Panzo have a good pedigree. They have been well coached for years.

I think they are good additions to play alongside our more experienced centre backs and add depth to the squad. The only thing they lack is experience. But that is how we have got them - so they can get games and experience.

He’s going to Burnley on loan
