They all have numbers & usually carry them through from the U23s just all aren't always included in the first team squad list it was the same last season - not entirely sure why but @SBchimp may know more.

Anyway;

Dinanga 34
Cashman 35
Bapaga 41
George was no.42 last year and again this year. They only typically publish numbers when they get close to the 1st team. A few more may appear prior to the BC cup game

Does anyone know why Palmer is 45? Has he always been that before? Just seems a bit of a random selection if not with other smaller numbers available.
Michael Jordan wore number 45 on his return to the Bulls, so there was a period where it became slightly more popular with players who would traditionally have lower numbers. Similar to 23. Might not be the reason for Palmer at all, but could be an indirect link.

Stephen Bywater had the number 43 shirt as that was the age his mentor Les Sealy died

I vaguely remember an outfield player having the number one shirt (not David James when he played one game upfront for Man City), but I can’t remember who it was.

Bony was playing up front with #2 when he went back to Swansea. Said it was in honour of it being his second stint

I remember Stefan Oakes playing for Walsall and he had the #50 so it looked like his initials SO, what a tit!

I like how Argentina just went in alphabetical order in 78

Goalkeepers aside Italy used to do it in order of position so 2-9 would all be defenders and so on

Didn't Tarantini join Blues & was an absolute head case? I'm sure he went into the stands at St Andrews to confront a fan!

On my FM unwritten squad numbering rules I'd have 3 or 6 for leftbacks, 11 if feeling particularly saucy and they can double up as wingers. Only 2 on the right though, nobody's wearing 7 at wingback in my club.
