It will need time to settle to get a proper result. Mark Robins alluded to this at the weekend in an interview.

I am sure whether a scan has taken place or not the treatment will have begun. So just chill out Cov fans.

I agree, i know others are worse off i wasnt comparing him to others. All i was saying is money, wealth or position will not stop him or anyone for that matter being put in a bad place mentally.

Now financial if you won the lottery and lost the ticket ur mind would not exactly be in a good place . And me telling you its ok, don't worry, what u moaning at, or your going to be rich would not help would it. Until u find that ticket ur head would be a mess and understandable so. Footballers hardest part of rehad is not the work its the mental aspects of getting back and having the confidence to get back to full speed. I dont feel sorry for him or any other player i do however understand in his exact position with what was on offer how his head might be in a bad place.
It's difficult to understand the despair sports men and women feel when they get a serious injury
I have a background across a number of sports both pro and amateur
There is no difference in how much of a blow it is for an athlete at the peak of their powers to suddenly break down and face months of rehab before they can even start to train properly again
Hopefully Callum's problem won't be a high grade tear and he can get back sooner rather than later

Yes and the amount they earn has nothing to do with it. Wealth in itself doesn't make people happy. There are many examples of very successful and wealthy elite sports men and women who have suffered from depression. Of course not saying that applies to Calum O'Hare and I really hope not.

Hope he doesn't end up like Michael Owen with one hamstring issue after another or torn from the bone like Reda

Bleeding from a torn hamstring? Someone take an axe to it?

Grendel was laughing in agreement but...

A hamstring injury is usually sudden and painful. Other common symptoms include: Bruising: Small tears within the muscle cause bleeding and subsequent bruising. The bruise begins in the back of the thigh, and as time passes the bruise will pass down below the knee and often into the foot.

A BRUISE IS A BLEED CONTAINED BY INTACT SKIN !!!

My point Platt was one person said O'Hare hadn't had the scan and another said that he had it on Sunday/Monday.

Both posters from their posts implied they were ITK - which maybe they shouldn't ?
The major point is that they can't both be right so at least one of them has made a false ITK statement on here.......tbf probably not the only ones .......

I shouldn't, but i will, you are right he has had 1 injury. And that 1 injury came within a few weeks/ days of him knowing the contract that was on the table for him at Burnley. Now it was not a little improvement its was a monstrosity of an improvement, which would of changed his and families life overnight.

I grant you players expect injuries, but to have this happen when it did, with the knowledge he had about the potential future, could create a mental issue. I don't care if you are Ronnie Pickering your head would be in your arsehole in that same situation, which would be normal. That's what my post was about, not the physical aspect, more the mental hurdle he may now face, which nobody can see.

Now having said that, im no doctor or have a sofa with patients in my office on it daily basis talking problems. But i do see and know how these things effect players, yes, he will be mentally fine, i have no doubt he will be playing in months and have no doubt others are worse off than him. But what might be in doubt is Burnley being in the same situation to offer that deal. They could of bought alternative players, spent the budget due to injuries they have or may not need him by the time Jan comes around. But from looking at some of your posts i don't expect you to see that or even think of it.

Which is why the fuck off comment you thoughtfully posted came as no surprise. The only shock on my part, was it never came Sooner. It was really insightful and brave which shows you in a true light behind a keyboard!!! Must be hard to type with them boxing gloves on Rocky... Anyway must do as you said and fuck off, till next time love as i dont want to keep you from running up them steps.

It's hardly career threatening. He's a 24 year old professional footballer who's picked up an injury , not some flake who takes time off work with a sniffle. I'm sure he has the mental capacity to deal with it . And as for the speculation surrounding the Burnley offer , he has plenty of time on his side to move on if he wants to.

It may give him even more determination when he's back in October to hit the ground running and earn that move. He'll be fine, we'll be fine.

Never said it was career ending, never said he would suffer long term mental issues, never said Burnley wouldn't come back in.. All i said is he knows what the offer was and what it could turn into. For a young player who has not had injuries this will be a new experience and tough period for him.

Im not feeling sorry for him, im not saying nobody is worse off than him. Im saying this will all be a mental problem more than a physical problem to overcome. He is young and a very good player that im sure will bounce back and get the chance again of the life changing contract. Some seem to make out im writing his leg fell off, his dog died or he is in a bastard coma..

You're talking as though it would've happened though. It might have, but Burnley were yet to make an appropriate bid. If they've put a figure in his head maybe we should do them for tapping him up.

I thought it was illegal to talk terms with a player until a transfer fee was agreed between clubs?

I'm not saying it doesn't always happen, I'm sure it does. But if it did, we would be in a place to have Burnley charged by the league, no? Or the club lied and a transfer fee had indeed been agreed?

But not suicidal

If that's aimed at my original post on O hare,
I posted he may have more mental issues to overcome than physical at this time. i also mention mental issues and the dark places it takes a person and that part was not inclusive to ohare. That was a general comment about anyone in any walk of life and that having money doesnt stop mental issues happening.

looks like bits got conflated and things got picked out to suit a reply. I don't come on here for everyone to agree or everyone to reply i dint know anyone on here. And i think most are happy to be the same, i never indicated or suggested ohare is that, Just stated mental issues are an issue that is kept very quiet and frowned upon in lots in everyday life. If that was not pointed at me Torquay, million apologies.

Agents talk to players not clubs, in fact i have sat in front of agents talking about offers from clubs to contracted players. If Burnley could of agreed the price i was told and have no reason not to believe it, that the player did know the deal. He also would of found it impossible to turn down. So no club wastes time on doing deals without finding out if the player is interested or what the players current deal is. Agents are key in fact they become the legal way of tapping up players.

I suppose ask Better day or SBB as they know the players or player. They may know the same person who i know, im only giving my opinion and only saying what ive been told

I am hearing longer than 10 weeks. Possibly towards 4 months. Club will announce soonish and I'm sure the likes of Dawkins will be tweeting it.

To be honest the World Cup is on for a month so we’re basically missing him for half a season
