What percentage of your usual Cov watching friends are coming to the JPT match? Taking max attendance in the league this season so far as 11k and extrapolating the data:

Of my group of 9 there are 2 of us coming: this is 22%

22% of £11k = 2420

I predict 2450 as the attendance!

to be fair to the club i think there pricing structure for this is spot on, £10 for non season tickets and £5 for season tickets and free for kids...it is cheaper than the pre season friendlies for a competitive game (supposedly) i reckon about 3500..... if it is under 2000 i might try and see how many different seats i can sit in during one game:D

I'm going, £5 for a game of football up the Ricoh or an evening of the normal shite that the mrs puts on the telly.
I think the club got it spot on with the pricing.

I'm not going.
If its a balmy evening expect a considerable "walk up".
However, the dogs of doom are barking again (Crewe) which will dilute the feel good fraternity (Brum).
Any 'scientific' calculation must include thes factors.

There are 2 of us who go, both of us are going. We thought the club have done well with the pricing for this game. Especially at £2.50 for my old man.

I never understand it when fans don't go because we have been playing bad or have lost the last game.
It's surly not about all that.

Two of us and we're both going. Not an issue. If City are playing I go. My support is not conditional. Thousands for Arsenal and whatever for Burton, about sums up City 'fans.' Too many sick notes.

The "sick note" observation suggests everybody should be the same and have blind faith.
In reality we are all different have different needs, priorities, etc.
Things like previous results, quality of opposition and weather are always factors that affect gates.
It's a scientific fact demonstrable by countless millions of precedents.

Dadgad, nothing personal. BUT if anyone counts themselves as a City fan, lives within a reasonable distance and can go and CHOOSES not to, then that is not the act of a supporter. Supporters just support their team. 'Previous results, quality of opposition etc' - absolute rubbish - Not good enough . If you're a fan you go. All these lukewarm 'fans' are a major reason we underperform as a club. No fans = no money - until there is a change of mentality anongst the lukewarms we'll continue to languish.

Don't try and get in mine, I won't budge. Been in the same seat since 1898 and I won't be moved by the club, you or anyone else!!!

I agree that it's annoying that a section of City fans seem to try harder to justify not going than attempting to actually get to games. I live up north, and attend as many homes and away games as I can. I wouldn't describe myself as a lukewarm fan, but yesterday started to make me question going. £20 ticket, £20 train, £60 on drinks food etc. In the current economic climate, you can see why lukewarm fans can't be arsed. Even a home game is £20 ticket, £5/£10 parking. It's an expensive day out and when we've had nothing to cheer for 20 years, it's not surprising our lukewarm fans are freezing!

I just looked on CCFC website it says kids are not free :facepalm:

No worries. I'm an exile - live approx 120 miles from Ricoh - but even if I lived in CV6 I would not criticise anyone who prioritised other things above following a football team.....
There was a time when pulpit professionals berated humanity for preferring to watch football over attending church.
Now humanity has more choice than ever.....times change...we move on.

TBF Wigan are doing well more to the fact that there chairman Dave Whelan is a multi millionaire.
