Badly needed result against a manager who will surely be sacked tonight. Don’t know why we didn’t just keep it in the corner in added time but if we get another 15 of those this season I’ll take it. Gyo simply on another level to his teammates

Dog didn't want to go for a walk at half-time, but with 15 minutes left I couldn't deal with the pressure, so I dragged him out of his crate (that he'd hidden in at the half time suggestion) and walked until I knew it would be over. looked at the BBC table for our points total, then happily bounced onto here! Can't have a beer to celebrate as I'm on driver duty later. Well done all concerned.

Gyok and Bidwell outstanding. Wilson did well too.

Its a pity Allen didn't play ... still like a little puppy chasing everything but 3 wonderful points ....Kasey gets taken off and after that race with Giles Dabo looked fooked

Allen had a decent game especially the first half. Palmer was blowing and a red card waiting to happen

OK that. Scrappy and nervy and second half we’d basically decided to sit on the edge of our box and defend the lead, but considering that did well with no Hamer no O’Hare and Sheaf having probably his worst game of the season.
Although for back brilliantly for their break away when Bidwell made his one mistake of the game

About bloody time! Not going to go down as a classic, but who cares. Three points is all that matters.

Bidwell solid as ever, Dabo finally looked like the good version of Dabo, midfield worked hard, defence didn't look like they'd concede with every attack, Gyok continues to be the best player we've had in a very long time. It's a good day, a relief more than anything.

Result was everything today. Panzo looked like his legs were gone in the last 25 minutes or so, but luckily their play became a bit desperate so they didn't take advantage. Gyokeres was fantastic, he deserved a 2nd goal and should have had one when their defender threw himself to the floor and conned the ref into blowing for a foul near the end. Will take that though & onwards to Bristol on Tuesday :)

A good day Victor scores the winner and 3pionts to boot what's not to be happy about.

Decent performance & deserved victory, can't ask for more than that.
Gyok, Palmer, Bidwell & Doyle particularly impressed.

Mcfazdean Marshalls the back 3 still as well as anyone and without him in the middle of Panzo and Doyle we’d have struggled today

Panzo makes a difference at the back and Doyle is getting better and more comfortable at this level. Think both have good careers a head of them.

Palmer is a player, he sees things so quick and will find and create some chances this season. I would say he just needs more minutes in his legs and O hare round him and they will good to watch. Palmer surprised me a little with his work rate he dug in and put himself about enough.

Only negative is we are falling for the dark arts again. Teams are right at the ref from the off, very pro active in talking to the ref asking for cards, fouls and generally planting the seed. We tend to wait and react to ref enviable bad decision made due to influence. We just need to be aware and maybe get in 1st by letting the ref know this lot moan about all ref and will try it on ref... Keep saying it enough with different players it will have an effect at some point.

But more than happy with 3 pts and a clean sheet looking forward to Tuesday id take a pt now if offered.

Yes - when Palmer picked up that needless booking, I was concerned that he was a 50//50 challenge away from a red. He does come across as an articulate, intelligent person off the pitch. Just said on the radio he wasn't that fit when he joined us.

I think Doyle is better than sunderland fans said he was
He was absolutely gutted in his interview after his mistakes in the Bristol City game. Thought at the time then, that if it means that much to him, he'll keep on quickly developing.

My favourite thing about Palmer is his “run full speed at them then karate kick towards the ball” closing down style. Like the anti-Shipley.

Story of 2 poor teams and a premier league quality striker really. Delighted with the result but still concerned with defence and lack of any real creativity. Bidwell and Victor the only real class. We move onwards

Very happy with that bit edgy at the end but they never looked like scoring.
The only time they nearly had it was a cross but Wilsn did well to palm it over.
Onwards and upwards.
