Occams Razor says that it’s what it looks like. Rumours we are close to admin, HMRC debts, club clearly in trouble financially. O’Hare fell through last minute so we’re double fucked. And Sisu have been telling everyone they only want the stadium in admin so why would their partner gazump them?
Their partner gazump?

An agreement that a certain price would be paid for our club if the ground could be secured would be best for both sides.

Or do you suggest that SISU have the funding in place and would be willing to pay for the arena?

Loads of whataboutery on here now

Facts are

Ashley is probably going to get the stadium. Doesn't want us.

Sisu have again fucked it by trying to be too cute even though they actually had some added investment from a partner ready to go.

Council have been nudging things in the direction they want. If people don think they aere ACL's string puller I don't know what to say

So as it stands we will still be tenants, still at the whim of a knobhead stadium owner and still run by shitcunts wihtout a pot to piss in and wont invest a penny, not even to pay for a pitch or tax bill.

Best we can hope for under this is a Peterborough/ Rotherham style yoyo L1 CHampionship club

Wait, what?! So you don't go to games based on location of the Arena?
Obviously location will affect whether some go though. Extrapolate it and if we moved to Bolivia, and we'd have the hardcore complaining about others, saying it wasn't a tough journey to make and people should just suck it up, while SBAndy would be bitching that the flight left him in Bogota after its toilet stop.

Have appreciated your input SB but tbf they're not facts.

No-one really knows what's happened/going to happen. Some will fear the worst, some will hope for the best. Standard for us Cov fans sadly!

What's also standard, tbf, is that those who fear the worst are more often the group who end up being right ;)

I haven't looked to be honest, maybe you can? I just provided information saying it is a common thing for businesses in the UK. Still, keep moving the goalposts.

Charity bet offer is still there though?

I’m surprised that for such a common, standard procedure you can’t think of a single other football club that’s had this problem. But if you’re jonesing for a charity bet, how about £200 that at least two other Chanpionship clubs will go under a transfer embargo for the same HRMC issue by the end of the season? I bet they won’t, but if it’s so common and standard, surely you’d be crazy not to take me up on it?

Answer me this - not being local. People moan about the location of the Arena - out of town hard to get to. Isn't Warwick Uni going to be the same?

Genuine question as I don't know the area.
Don’t know where you live but think of what is your most leafy, sedate area with plenty of large and million pound houses there and only a couple of access roads to it that sums up most of the Uni area can you really see any chance of a 25k+ stadium being allowed to be built there, I know locals there complain now about the continued expansion of the university now, compare that to where the CBS is in an industrial area with decent road and motorway systems.
Leaving HR was a terrible mistake but we now have what we have there might be one or two areas more central than the Uni that could be used but probably never will.

For the same reasons the NEC wanted to?
So someone with experience with running football clubs would want a football ground and not the football club so they could do the same as someone else who didn't make a serious bid?

I have literally provided a link from accountants saying it's common in the UK ;)

My exact words on the thread were:

Nobody has said everything is ok, they have said that this issue isn't a massive issue.

Keep trying to spin stuff though. It's no wonder you always jump in to defend shit journalism.

The CBS although out on the edge of the city has Foleshill Rd and Holbrooks nearby which does feel working class with pubs, social clubs and takeaways and is easier for Nuneaton and Bedworth fans to get too, the Warwick Uni site isn't even devolved yet and is in the countryside looking at plans. Not much there for your traditional football fan.

OK so is he referring to the Dawkins American bloke wanting to take both?
SISU's Investors and the 51% thing (if they are different to the above bloke).

So what fact do you know about Ashley not wanting our football club?

I fully agree about the CCC part. So why would SISU or Ashley make some sort of comment that they don't have to?

Interesting.....

Saw this earlier it doesn’t matter now really though does it? Unless Ashley pulls out which I can’t see him doing he’s the only one they will consider for the stadium. Surely no one in their right mind would buy us without the ground so I don’t see a positive out of this interest.

Difficult to see much change really now at least in the short term.

So are they now saying that Mike Ashley wasn't the only interest but he's been chosen as the "preferred" bidder by the Council / ACL?
