Of course we shouldn't have, that was purely down to Sisu's apaling behaviour.
I've said they made numerous fuck ups, and deliberately breaking their tenancy agreement was their biggest mistake. (Imo)

But you can't say that without them, we'd still be a going concern. No one else was willing to save us. We didn't choose Sisu, they were quite literally the only option we had. The fans who think they've used CCFC as some form of cash cow must have gone to the Liz Truss school of economics!

They've clearly taken us as far as they are going to, so if Mr Ashley can take us on and improve us, I'm more than willing to welcome him.

This is entirely hypothetical though. Very few clubs our size just disappear. The vast majority on that list I posted are fine. Just naming the one case that did go pop doesn’t prove anything.

Someone like Wasps then?

Yes. As much as we like to wail about it, on its face it was a golden opportunity to not end up with an empty arena and to bring a major sporting franchise to the city. These are good things from the councils perspective. That’s why every councillor voted for it.

People need to stop thinking like CCFC fans first on this when asking why people whose legal duty and literal job is not CCFC. The only people legally required to put CCFC first above all else are it’s owners. Which has been my point on here for almost a decade now.

I still don't understand how SISU, on learning the pitch had not been relayed as agreed because Wasps had run out of cash, and finding other things around the stadium not done, would somehow have had less of an inkling of impending admin than people detached from the lack of cash.

Not many on that list are in a better position (in the league) than us though.
Leeds are obviously a much bigger club, and the likes of Bournmouth and Palace had the kind of investment we would die for. Leicester were able to just right off a massive chunk of their debt and then carry on as if it never existed. (The rules were later changed to prevent that)

We were (and still are) hampered by the fact that we didn't own our own stadium, and so our revenue streams were restricted, but that goes back way before Sisu rode into town.

Now you’re making a whole new argument. Your entire point rests on Sisu being out saviours and now it’s “oh maybe we’d have been worse with someone else”.

And a few pies are not the difference between a successful club or not. Even Sisu have said that several times right from the Ranson days.

They’ve survived on this mythos of being hard nosed genius businesspeople but they’re just not very good at owning a football club.

Who still fail to put CCFC first

If John Dawkins was to ever be involved in the club at a boardroom level his conduct on social media would be something that worries me to be honest

I’d just love nothing more than an owner to come in and give none of the gimmicky shite or shoot their mouth off on social media (That clown who owned Villa a few years ago comes to mind)

Just someone to pump a fair bit of money into the club and let MR do his thing, unfortunately we aren’t that lucky

But whether you like it or not, they were our saviours, I've yet to hear you or anyone else put up any meaningful argument to the contrary! It's not debatable, it's FACT. You can't rewrite history to suit your own agenda.

They contrived a position to exclude any other bidders or competition. It'd be like saying without Mike Ashley the arena would be knocked down.

That's absolute nonsense, who did they preclude from bidding exactly,
Other bidders. Shapiro were the main namechecked one immediately prior.

You know, in not eating my time to writing all this over and again on my phone only to be met by a nah, without any consideration or understanding.

SISU understand the processes!

Everyone has different views.

It could be argued that when we had the “twenty mins from admin” situation had SISU not been around another buyer may have come in, or, we entered admin (as we did later anyway) and someone else take over whilst we had less debt and 10 points knocked. Maybe the alternative buyer from admin had the good sense to do a deal with CCC wrt the CBS. GR liked the SISU option since it gave him a chance of his £20m without him having to dig deeper himself (didn’t work out though)

Saviours?

It’s a view.

I've heard from an ITK that Dawkins is a late contestant in 'I'm a Celebrity',
Could be what the deleted tweet is referring to. Don't shoot the messenger.
