So what are we capable of then ? (6 Viewers)

Looking at the fixtures i’d hope top 2 or 3 by the end of march as long as we hold on to the current squad and bring in a couple of decent back ups.
that said. Lose Vik, Gus or Cal and mid table beckons.

Hoping this is us clicking back into gear. The WC break knocked us out of our stride but there's no reason we can't still be up there.

I reckon the football we've played v Swansea and albion at times is the best we've played all season ..

Hopefully we catch Sheffield United cold boxing day

A team I particularly hate losing to, so I hope so. Fans comfortably equal to Sunderland fans for cuntyness.

I don't really like their fans gave it loads to us when just under 400 went up after the checkatrade , said nothing when we took 2800 last season

Not sure a team playing 3ATB can get promoted with only three fit CBs in the squad, but this team does have a habit of surprising me.

Best 11 can beat any team in this league, however our subs are useless when it comes to quality, I think currently we will finish outside playoffs but add a few players into the team,
Better LB
Allen type player with quality
And a old head for the back line to replace fadz,

apart from that I think we’re good as long as we don’t lose vik to injury.
You’ll struggle to improve on Bidwell without a lot of money

What are capable of....

Honestly...no idea. Anywhere from 2nd place to 10th.

Dont think we are anywhere near our best.

Our big 3 players have a few levels gears upside in them. Massive upside.

Still think Wilson is weak link who will get exposed.

It all comes down to January and what we do.
Lose anyone important forget it, bottom half. Don't think we are at risk of going down though, but lose Gyokeres and we will struggle.
Keep everyone and don't add, and also be lucky with injuries, top half.
Keep everyone and add to it, potential playoffs, but other clubs will be thinking and doing the same.

Lose the next game, instant relegation to League 2 and Robins out.

It’s hard to add any new ideas…..it’s all about resources. Stay as we are player wise without more injuries and I think top 10, add cover at centre back and perhaps one more goalscorer , play offs. One thing for sure is Callum makes a hell of a difference when he’s playing.

Dare I suggest Jagielka as the old head???
He's out of contract at Stoke at the end of this month.
Just saying.
Now I'm going to get my tin hat on and take cover. 😂

Play offs are achievable, keeping Vik in January is crucial but he will be sought after and being realistic the club will have a price in mind.
I'm sure the club will be looking at potential replacements already as well as a couple of others to give the squad more depth.

He's 40 and it sounds ridiculous but I think you might be right. Always been a good player and his experience could be useful. I think we would need another younger one too though as cover.

Apart from Burnley, and possibly Swansea, I haven't seen any team on a par with us this season. Add to that the close-knit squad and Robins management, no reason why we can't push for 2nd place. I said it a few weeks ago, we'll go up, ending 2nd place and pipping Sheff Utd to the automatic spot. The above is based on us not selling Vik, and possibly a couple of wise loan / transfers next month to bulk the squad up. By February, we should have Godden, Fadz and Eccles back in contention too.

We've lost 3 in the last 17 .

And if you look at those 3;

- Burnley, run away leaders & probably surefire winners - narrow 1-0 defeat in a game we could have got something from.

- Blackpool - half a team missing with illness.

- Reading - Did more than enough to get something but momentary lapse after a 5 week enforced layoff.

Meanwhile we have beaten Sheff Utd, Watford, QPR & Blackburn who are all Top 6 plus WBA, a hugely talented sign on a 5 game winning run.

We're a good team , massively under resourced but what a team to watch at times

Was just trying to find a table from last year after 22 games.

Pretty much spot on same position, same wins etc.

Something in our favor this season compared to last, was Vik tailed off a bit after the explosive start and didnt get back on it till end of january. We are in better form now than we were this time last season.

Squad depth is a bit thin and a concern. But Palmer and Dabo coming back to full fitness will help and will Waghorn/Walker.

Under no circumstances should we play our full strength side vs Wrexham.

Top 6 is really achievable if keep key players fit. This doesn't feel like a pipe dream playoff season like I remember under Coleman one year.

Sheff utd next. Take a draw but if best then we target autos!

Better LB? Bidwell has been one of our top performers this season, utterly clueless
