Much like Panzo vis-à-vis the player he’s supposed to be marking - it’s not even close.

Thought he did really well in a game recently when given a clear job to man mark someone actually. He’s definitely improved from earlier on.

Hes nowhere near good enough at this level as it stands. In years to come maybe if someone sticks with him but he’s really poor

Really? You never mention it.

Well he just isn’t. He clearly isn’t as we are loaning yet another defender as he’s just not up to scratch.

Come on G, I don't think Panzo is brilliant but he has played his part in the good as well as the bad defensively this season. The number of clean sheets to date attests that.

He’s so poor at man marking and defensive cover. He’s fine when he’s on the ball and moving forward but of the defenders available to me he’s bottom of the pile as he’s just high risk all the time and has real lapses in concentration in key moments

Agree with most of this tbh.

There's clearly a player in there & he could be a real asset in time, but his tendency to ball watch & let attackers run off him is a huge weakness at the moment. This wouldn't be such an issue if he was our player as he will be learning from these mistakes but that's really only going to benefit his parent club (or next buyer in the future).

Works better with fadz leading him

Panzo and Doyle similar stats , Rose is the weak defensive link based on stats

Fadz just continues to amaze , best of the lot
You could argue from the stats that teams target Panzo and Doyle, hence why they have to contest more duels, have to make more tackles and interceptions. Interesting to see when they do target Rose on the floor his ground duels win % is far superior to both Panzo and Fadz. Probably Doyle too.

But that’s the market if we want to challenge at the top end of the division we have to shop in
It is, and I hope we do shop in that market. But given Robins has said we're not awash with money I don't think we can be dropping 5 mill in a window and then still have some money leftover for the following window.

I think he's a good footballer but lacks intelligence, bit harsh but there you go. I suspect his game intelligence will improve with time and I wouldn't be against signing him if he didn't cost too much.

He was ok alongside Fadz, with a couple of really good games. Been terrible the last few games though.

O’Hare hasn’t been great in the limited time he’s played TBH. It’s understandable as he was coming back from injury, but he’s been nowhere near as effective this season as he was last.
If you look at Gyokeres goal return with and without o'hare, its quite stark.

losing games while he was injured, winning games when he was fit, losing games now he's injured again. There is no argument that we are a totally different (and rather boring) team without him.
